CHAPTER 3.

Three months it had become since Hayley had lost her memory, laying there next to a sleeping Klaus, her hand on her naked belly as she listened to the tiny fluttering heartbeat, a smile on her lips another baby she was fantasising about what their child would look like whether it was a boy or girl. She secretly hoped it was a boy that would look just like Klaus. Blue eyes, blonde curls, pink full lips. Hayley could not have imagined a life without Hope and to create another life with Klaus elated her she didn't care if she never got the old Hayley's memories back, she was making a new life and she loved this life.

"What, are you smiling at, little wolf?" Klaus asked awake now looking at her, a content Madonna-like smile on her face.

Hayley grabbed his hand and placed it on her belly.

"Listen" she whispered, her smile still wide.

Klaus tuned his hybrid hearing into the sounds of the room and he could hear the faint, fast thrumming of a heartbeat, just like Hope's had been when the witches had held Hayley in the caves to be used against him. His eyes widened as he refined his hearing again, he could hear the amniotic fluid flowing around that tiny heartbeat that was their child and he looked into Hayley's eyes and saw nothing but joy at the prospect of them having another child and he felt relieved grateful that this beautiful woman wanted another child with him. Klaus leaned in over her, his hand stroking her still flat belly.

"I will be different this time, your pregnancy, the birth, I will be at your side always," he promised to her.

Hayley stroked his face lovingly.

"I know you will, you are a wonderful Father to Hope and you have been a protective patient partner with me these past three months and I love you Klaus Mikaelson and I love this child we have made together."

Klaus was overcome at her words and fear gnawed at the back of his mind, what if her memories come back? The family witches were close to unravelling the spell that had taken them away.

"What if your memories return?" He whispered out, he dreaded the thought of losing her.

"I will still love you with or without the memories and I will never leave you, nothing will change that," She professed as she cupped his face, the feared Klaus Mikaelson that people were terrified of. They never saw the vulnerable, kind and caring Klaus, the depths of his emotions as strong as the elements, Klaus kept those well hidden from most.

"I love you Hayley Marshall and I love our children" he declared as he stroked her belly, his eyes locking with hers, "I will never let you go, you are mine now always and forever." He declared possessively as her smile grew wider at his words and she pulled his face down to kiss him, deeply and passionately her lips claiming his, her arms and legs locking around his body pulling him into her body. Klaus immediately responded, hugging her body tightly into his, he would never let her go.
