FOR HOPE. II.

CHAPTER 2.

Klaus sitting on the couch reading looked up as Hayley entered the living room the next morning, talking on her phone.

"Yes I'm with your Dad, we have business to do discuss."

"It's not fair you get to see him and I don't," Hope whined.

"I know baby girl, but you can talk to him, would you like to say hello?" 

"Yes, if he's not too busy" Hope said excitement in her voice.

Hayley handed the phone to Klaus and went to the kitchen, grabbed a blood bag and started making a coffee.

"Hello sweetheart, second time in Two days, do you miss me?" Klaus said with a smile.

"I do," Hope replied.

"I miss you too, my littlest wolf, what do you have happening today?" Klaus asked walking out to the balcony.

Hayley could hear Hope's excited chatter about classes and training and what her friends were up to, smiling to herself glad that Father and Daughter were speaking to one another again, as though the last few Years had not happened.

Klaus handed Hayley back her phone his face had a genuine dimpled smile,

"I'm so glad you Two have gotten over yourselves," Hayley said with a smile. "Now who's next on the list?" she asked.

"Maria Antonov, another in Rebekah's sireline, Rebekah turned her 800 years ago she was a witch, Rebekah was jealous of her, she has been after Mikaelson blood ever since, she's never been a threat so we didn't do anything about her, but Elijah is vulnerable, so off to Italy we go," Klaus announced, walking to the bedroom to pack, Hayley doing the same.

"I like the train I get to see so much more," Hayley said excitedly her eyes glued to the scenery beyond the train window.

"I thought you might little wolf," Klaus answered with a smile watching her drinking a bourbon.

"Where are we going in Italy?" Hayley asked.

"Florence, Maria has had a Home there for Centuries, we will go in kill her hangers on, break her neck, inject her and send her to New Orleans, I have already set up the storage facility and the coffin is being delivered once we arrive I'll compel the necessary paperwork," Klaus explained his plan.

"Okay and I can do some sight seeing," Hayley said with glee, excited to have a look around, she really haven't travelled much or been outside New Orleans except to pick up Hope from Mystic Falls and her quick trip to France to see Elijah, and even though this was a rushed trip she was enjoying the new sights and different scented air, and travelling with Klaus was actually fun and exciting.

Klaus and Hayley were standing outside a villa on the outskirts of Florence,

"I will deal with Maria you just slaughter everyone in there," Klaus whispered in her ear.

Hayley nodded and whooshed after him as he went to the room that they could hear the voices coming from, Klaus entered, beheading as he made his way to Maria, Hayley pulled hearts and beheading those that got in the way humans and vampires alike, Klaus broke Maria's neck and had injected Maria with the concoction just as Hayley killed the last person.

Klaus slung Maria over his shoulder and walked to the door Hayley following him, they whooshed to the hire van, put the body in the back and drove to the storage unit, repeating the process of the previous night.
