Klaus slung his arm around his 15 year old son's shoulder, "Happy birthday Henrik my Son," He smirked at him, "Taking selfies for your adoring fans?" Henrik smirked back at his Dad.
"Yeah something like that," He smiled at his Dad, then his blue eyes became concerned, "How is Mom?" He asked softly and saw his Dad's back stiffen slightly as he poured himself a glass of warm blood and turned to face Henrik.
"She will be down soon." Was all Klaus would say.
"It's okay ...... I'm not little anymore Dad. I know she woke crying today. I always wake with a pain in my chest," Henrik confided his hand going over his heart and rubbing it and Klaus nodded.
"I know you have since you were a babe, you would scream in pain," Klaus could remember it clearly. May 2nd every year since they had brought their son home from the crypt Henrik would wake screaming. Hayley would vamp out of bed naked or clothed and pick him up walking the floor trying to soothe him crying and sobbing herself and Klaus' own heart would shatter at the sight of his wife and son and for their missing vanished daughter that in the last fifteen years they could not find.
Klaus and Hayley had been stunned when Hayley had given birth on the altar in the church held down by witches. Genevieve getting back at him and his unrequited attention to her. She had an obsession with him since 1919 and once the Ancestors had brought her back and she had seen Klaus Mikaelson married and in love with his pregnant wolf wife she had tried to blackmail and coerce him any way she could to get him in her bed and between her thighs. But he had fallen in love with Hayley. Love like he had never known in his thousand year life. His love of Tatia and Aurora had paled in comparison to what he felt for Hayley Marshall and after he found out she was pregnant with his child, he had married her and had never looked sexually or otherwise at any other women since.
