INSIGHT. I.

Hayley had just driven out of Mystic Falls. She had planned to leave as soon as she left Klaus Mikaelson's place, but she had decided to go back to the Motel she was staying in and get some sleep. Also the thoughts that keep running through her mind about last night were on a never ending loop in her head, she had slept with the devil himself. He had wined and dined her, she had drunk copious amounts of scotch, really good scotch, a higher quality than Tyler's. And Klaus intrigued her, he was hot. and good looking. 

Her wolf had wanted him and he was so good in bed, Hayley had never been fucked like that. Him drinking her blood had given her the first of many powerful orgasms. Hayley had to get away from him, otherwise he would be addictive, ruthless and diabolical or not, he was a supreme fuck. 

He had given her important information about her family, him noticing her birthmark and the long years of searching, scheming, manipulating coming here to Mystic Falls to manipulate Tyler and the hybrids, to unsire them, to give them up for a death sacrifice, because Professor Shane needed it. The professor's information about her family, which turned out to be a con and useless. She had done unspeakable things, to get what she wanted and in the end the big bad hybrid had protected her and set her on the road to finally finding her family.

Hayley had driven a half hour down the Highway, when her car, took control of itself, turning down a Forest dirt road and her trying to stomp on the brakes, it didn't work, her hands on the driving wheel had no control over it, she pulled the handbrake and nothing happened. The car drove along on it's own course for another half an hour and then pulled to the side of the road pulling right off the shoulder of the dirt road and stopped. Hayley tried to start it again, but the car was dead, she huffed, pissed, it was a decent car, she had worked many shifts at a bar to purchase it. Hayley got out and looked around, nothing but forest.

Hayley felt a energy force and then the words "Walk Forward" Echoed in her head, so of course the fearless wolf walked forward. She could feel the air shift and felt the buzzing of magic. 

The sight before her was a substantial grand old house, painted white, with a white picket fence. Double story, with verandas that wrapped around both ground and upper floors of the home, a lush green lawn and beautiful flower beds. 

The house had been cloaked, Hayley was captivated by her being led here. The voice in her mind, the cloaking and the house before her. Feeling no danger, Hayley opened the gate and proceeded up the path to the stairs to the front door, she turned the door knob and the door opened at her push. 

Walking in she looked around, it was fully furnished and was spotlessly clean, beautifully understated in decor. She looked into the rooms downstairs, found a study with bookcases full of books and the living,  kitchen, dining areas, were one large space. A laundry and an empty room.

Hayley then climbed the staircase to the second floor and found six bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. Going back downstairs she went into the backyard, that backed on to the surrounding forest, a below ground pool and immaculately kept gardens and not a soul around.

Hayley sat in the living room that overlooked the front yard and contemplated her next move. She should stay here the night and then walk back to the Highway early tomorrow, it would take her an hour to get back to the Highway and then hitch to the nearest garage and have her car fixed?

Though this house wanted her here so, her car was here because of magic and not working because of magic, it wasn't a mechanical problem. Hayley went to her car and got her belongings out. and took them into the house, picking a room she dumped her bag and went into the kitchen.

Opening the fridge she was astonished to see it had all her favorite foods and juices. Making herself a snack, she sat outside on the veranda that overlooked a pool and landscaped gardens, with the forest beyond it.
