CHAPTER 1.
Driving in to the small town of Mystic Falls, Hayley checked the Address found the the Building number and pulled into the laneway beside the building, taking out her suitcase and overnight bag she entered the glass door entrance and walked up the staircase finding her Apartment number she inserted they key and walked into the furnished Apartment, the older style high ceilinged clean Apartment suited her just fine, neutral tones solid wooden furniture leather sofas, no decoration clean airy and sparse.
She went to the bedroom the bed dressed in a floral doona and sheets, Ugh, she would get plain white linen this was fussy and not her at all, unpacking and hanging her clothing putting her toiletries away in the bathroom she went back to the kitchen dining living area and made a list of the items she needed, gazing out the tall long windows over the Town Square of Mystic Falls, she smiled to herself her intuition had led her here since getting kicked out of home at 13 years old and fending for herself she always listened to her intuition and her wolf warning system that tingling feeling that ran up her spine creating a hotspot at the back of the base of her neck, she had learnt to never ignore it. EVER.
Walking to the shops needed for her purchases she had chosen well getting an Apartment in the centre of Town she could walk places as a shewolf she loved to walk and you met interesting people when you could stop and chat and people loved to talk, they told you things about themselves which she knew they weren't always aware of to busy caught up in the centre stage that was their lives. Hayley was a watcher and a listener now she knew it was her wolf watching accessing, waiting to pounce or.... walk away.
Items purchased listening to the Town gossip filing names mentioned for future reference she went back to the Apartment stripped the bed put the new white linen on and then stepped into the shower once showered she dressed in her black jeans, black top and her comfy boots, light makeup her hair brushed and shiny she made her way to the Mystic Grill.
Standing behind the bar sorting glasses her new job as a bartender she had been working in bars since she turned 18. She was good at this always taking the late afternoon shifts till closing time, best money, best tips and the most informative information, a dark haired vampire sat down at the bar his eyes, blue and like ice no humanity she concluded and he had no idea she was a wolf, very few vampires did they thought wolves were myths you had to be in the club to know other wolves and Hayley had spent years traveling and staying and working in towns with wolves trying to find her Family the answer still illusive. The hold had loosened on her finding family what she wanted was to create her own family her own pack her blood and that of her chosen mate.
