CHAPTER ONE.
Klaus gave his coffee order and moved to the receiving counter at the side, feeling the buzzing and humming of power as he moved towards the waiting people in the busy coffee shop. He frowned at the dark haired woman looking down at her phone, her fingers on the screen. She finished and put the phone in her back pocket and looked up her eyes scanning the shop falling on him. Klaus moved next to her and stood beside her. "You can't be," He announced softly, not looking at her but straight ahead at the baristas making coffee and serving people.
A small light chuckle escaped her mouth, "I am and you must be old to even pick up on it, most never do, especially young supernaturals."
"I'm the oldest there is and it is not possible for you to be this way," He turned his head to look at her then. Large hazel eyes looked back at curious light sapphire eyes. She smirked.
"Not possible yet here I stand," She sassed. "Hayley Marshall," She introduced herself.
"Klaus Mikaelson."
"Ahh the famous original vampire cursed and binded, his wolf dormant for a thousand years." Klaus frowned at her knowledge no one knew that outside his family only of the Sun and Moon curse. He was fascinated that this woman had such information on him. Wondering why he trusted her and unwilling to kill her as a threat to his secret.
"HAYLEY!" The barista called out, her coffee put down on the counter. Hayley moved off to grab it. "KLAUS," Another server called, putting his coffee on the counter. Klaus moved and picked it up following the woman Hayley out of the coffee shop. He caught up with her and walked beside her as she sipped her coffee. She looked at him smirking.
"Now you want to know everything right?" She chuckled.
"Of course, you're the rarest and most unheard of creature there is, more so than me. How old are you?" He asked, crossing the street with her, as she headed towards the park.
"A baby in comparison to you, nineteen," She replied sitting down on a bench in Grant Park Atlanta. Klaus sat beside her.
"How?" He asked.
"No idea. I was orphaned, adopted out, I broke my curse at thirteen and was kicked out of my foster parents home when I turned for the first time in the living room. I ran. Breaking every bone in my body at that age and unaware of the supernatural was a bitch let me tell you," She grimaced. "But then I felt this warm buzzing in my body. I had no idea what it was but after two days wandering aimlessly not knowing where I was going or how the hell I was going to survive and starving, I sat in a park much like this and thought of the food I wanted to eat and bam it manifested on my lap. It was the best burger I had ever tasted." She laughed in remembrance.
