All Klaus could feel as the white oak wood pierced his heart was relief that he had killed the Hollow, that he had saved Hope. That his beautiful daughter was safe and would live. That he too should be dead just like the mother of his child, the woman who had given him his greatest gift in this long life of his, that the last fifteen years of his thousand year life had been the most vivid, that he could recall every minute of those fifteen years and the months of the little wolf's surprise pregnancy, he was not even concerned with where he was going. Then it all went black for him.

He frowned as he looked around and saw a figure in the distance walking towards him, he watched as the figure advanced closer towards him looking side to side at the empty silent buildings in the French Quarter of New Orleans.
