CHAPTER ONE.

Ken, the god, watched the blue eyed woman step down from the veranda of the house, "You're not my Daughter," His deep voice resonated around the empty front yard off the old house and property.

Hope looked the god up and down with darting searching eyes, her head slightly tilted to the side she replied with articulation, "I'm Klaus Mikaelson's daughter," As she advanced towards him with a sword in her hand. Her eyes never wavered from his.

"Is that name supposed to mean something to me?" He questioned her.

She nodded her head slightly to him, "Not yet but it will," She elaborated. "My Father stood for family above everything," She replied her voice hardening, "This school is my family, if your going to hurt them your going to have to go through me," Ken flashed gold eyes that flickered at her and Hope responded with her own golden longer glowing tribrid eyes back to him.

"They sent a little girl to challenge a god," Ken taunted. "I'm almost insulted."

Hope arched a brow, "Maybe you'll feel better when you can see what I can do," She challenged him, a fire ball appearing in the palm of her left hand, in a stream of dancing fire she lifted her palm and directed the flow of fire at the god engulfing him in flames. The flames disappeared and Ken looked at her with a fixed expression.

"Magic doesn't harm a god."

"No but it can be very distracting," Hope rebutted. As Lizzie came up behind Ken and grabbed either side of his head siphoning him, Ken threw Lizzie back telekinetically with ease, Lizzie flew through the air landing on her back winded Ken advanced towards Hope punching her with great force that threw Hope back several feet. Lizzie once again stood and charged at Ken, as if in slow motion he turned and directed his hands towards Lizzie; she was hit by a force that threw her back in the air landing on old iron farm equipment, a large metal spear piercing her lower stomach. Hope breathless on the ground several feet away gasped.

"Lizzie." Ken advanced towards her and kicked her in the stomach, then pummeled her with his god strength. Hope's bones breaking and knitting themselves back together her lip split and her blood spilled he broke her nose and more blood spilled. Panting she tried to fight back but she was weaker.

"Why won't you die," Ken demanded, hitting her again irritatedly, "A god should have no trouble killing a creature such as you," He announced, bothered that he couldn't kill this creature that was not a god.
