CHAPTER 1.
"If Elijah is going to die one way or another, then I can try placing his soul inside the pendant." Freya said looking at Klaus and Hayley, Elijah laid out on a table in the study.
"Try?" Hayley questioned worry and concern in her eyes and reflecting on her face.
"What do you mean try?" Klaus demanded looking at Freya.
"Well, there's a chance he won't survive the process." Freya said as she started to chant, "Yoli conepiya miquiliztli, Spasiti animam suam, Yoli conepiya miquiliztli, Spasiti animam suam."
"Where's the pendant?" Klaus questioned.
Freya looked up at Klaus, "She's done it. She's taken Elijah's power. The Hollow will be reborn."
"Tell me Elijah's in there. You heard him, right?" Hayley asked Freya shaken and frantic.
"Yes, he's somewhere inside, but screaming," Freya answered looking at Klaus and Hayley her voice tinged with sadness.
In a nightclub in a European Town, dance music playing and neck crunching sucking sounds of blood being drunk from necks and wrists, gasps and groans, as vampires fed on the humans. Then the human crowd gasped and screamed, yelling and shouting emitted from the humans as vampires fell to the dance floor dessicated and grey. The screams continued as people started to scramble and run from the nightclub.
'I haven't seen vampires die like this since... you were killed," Rebekah said to Kol, looking around her.
"And my entire sire line died with me," Kol replied hushed as he looked at the fallen.
"Elijah," Rebekah gasped.
"Rebekah and Kol just landed. I assured them we're mere moments from returning our Brother to life. Don't make me a liar," Klaus said striding back into the study with a desiccated Elijah and Freya and Hayley hovering close to him.
"I can't resurrect Elijah until I'm certain his mind is whole," Freya told Klaus.
"Well, you saved Finn with that very trinket. What's the problem?" Klaus snapped back at her.
"When that pendant was shattered, Elijah's mind shattered with it. He's most likely retreated to the innermost core of his consciousness," Freya explained to them both.
"How do we find that?" Hayley asked with a frown.
"I don't know. It could be anywhere in over a thousand years of memories, but if I try to pull him back without fixing the pendant, before finding him and healing his mind, he'll be permanently fractured, like casting a broken bone before it's been properly set," Freya said.
