CHAPTER 1.
Klaus had just pulled onto the Mountain Road of Temescal Mountains, in Norco, Riverside County, California,
"How do you know these people?" Klaus asked Hayley as he passed the sign that read,
WELCOME TO BEACON HILLS.
"I came here in my search for Family, and met Derek, Stiles and Scott. Malia came to live here awhile after. Do you think your Brother's and Rebekah and Marcel will be alright dealing with Lucien?" Hayley asked feeling guilty for leaving them to deal with the enemy.
"No need to feel guilt little wolf, Hope is our first priority, my siblings can deal with Lucien, Kol is merciless when it comes to the enemy as is Elijah and Finn."
"Finn's loyalty to Family and his willingness to fight took me by surprise." Hayley said as she turned in the car seat and looked at a sleeping 8 month Hope and smiled at her little beauty safe with her and Klaus and away from the danger, grateful Klaus had put their Daughter first and his willingness to leave New Orleans.
"Finn loves Freya and if Freya is willing to fight then Finn will stand at her side, Kol will fight with Elijah over tactics and Rebekah will choose the best course of action to be taken and they have Davina, Marcellus and Vincent to help, I am in no doubt they will destroy Lucien."
Hayley nodded, and then looking at him as he drove she asked, "What about your sire link being broken, will your enemies come for you?"
"They will, but the cloaking spell on the three of us have will keep us hidden and they will go to New Orleans looking for me. The Family will deal with them, no harm will come to you and Hope, Why did you say we would stay with your friends? surely we would be better staying at a hotel or motel while we are here." Klaus asked, always preferring to stay in accommodation of his own.
"Just for a few nights Klaus then we can move, I haven't seen Stiles and Malia for 7 years and it seemed rude not to take them up on their hospitality, and look," Hayley pointed her finger as they approached the address Stiles had sent her through an encrypted text that he had taught her when she ran with the pack all those years ago, Sweet Stiles always so careful and even more so after being in the FBI, at a large double story large ranch house sitting high on the hill in the Mountains, the closest neighbour miles away.
"Mmm," Klaus murmured still unsure, but wanting to please the little wolf, seeing she had been open to leaving with him and wanting to keep their Daughter with them as a Family, and Klaus thought leaving behind Jackson's death and her break up with Elijah may have helped with her decision to leave, Klaus was not always able to read the fiery brunette, she had a way of guarding herself from everyone.
