Klaus looked around the familiar streets of Mystic Falls little had changed over the seven years he had been gone, it was still small, quaint and picturquese and smiled to himself, his time here for that one year in his senior year at the local high school as an exchange student had been a magical time for Klaus, he often reminisced of the times he had here and his good friend Tyler was here and that's why he had come for a visit, Tyler's wife Caroline had some rare exotic disease and Tyler had asked him to come and give him a second opinion. Tyler had begged Klaus and sent an open airline ticket Klaus had rung him as soon as he had received it in his inbox.
"Tyler mate there was no need to send me a ticket I can afford my own and it's been two years since you and Caroline came to England to visit me it was my turn to vist, I just needed to shuffle my schedules."
Tyler voice was low in the receiver of the phone as though he didn't want anyone to hear him, "I'm desperate Klaus the doctor is saying that this is untreatable and that Caroline........" Klaus heard his friends strangled voice unable to finish his sentence.
"I don't believe that for a second Tyler do you hear me, stay strong for Caroline's sake and that beautiful little girl you both have I will be there in a week,"
"Thanks Klaus I ....am so .....grateful."
"Nonsense we are friends, see you soon mate," Klaus hung up and shook his head these small town Doctors were sometimes useless when it came to diseases or infections out of the ordinary and as a City hospital Doctor in London he had seen every weird and exotic disease you could imagine, he was confident Caroline had picked up something when her Tyler and Carlizabeth, little blonde brown eyed Beth she was four and the apple of Tyler and Caroline's eyes and Klaus himself thought the little girl was a treasure sweet and funny like her mother with a resilience and stubbornness that was all Tyler, were in Thailand six months ago, Klaus had seen a few cases in London.

Klaus halted his step when he saw the young boy outside the clothing shop next to the park, he looked remarkably like a young Kol but for the bright inquisitive cobalt almond shaped eyes, his mouth smeared with chocolate his light olive skin and mischievous smirk as he looked at Klaus momentarily and then the golden brown longish head turned to the blonde girl at the dress shop entrance when she called out, "Henry come inside," And Klaus watched the slim small boy run inside the dress shop, Klaus remained standing there as though in a dream and then walked on.
Outside the Lockwood Mansion Klaus stood waiting at the large glass and iron front door and it was opened to Klaus by a house staff member, he was invited in and ushered to the semi formal living area Caroline resting back on the sofa with a small smile on her lips, Tyler with Carlizabeth on his lap reading to her, Tyler looked up as Klaus came in a stood up with Beth in is arms and shook Klaus' hand.
