CHAPTER ONE.

Klaus lay in the coffin golden dagger in his heart.

Furious at Hayley for taking Hope away from him, with that pathetic excuse of a man she called husband.

Enraged at his family for putting him here.

HOW DARE THEY TAKE OVER. HIM THE FATHER. INCAPACITATED FROM PROTECTING 'HIS' CHILD FROM DAHLIA.

HE WANTED TO KILL THEM ALL.

***

Hayley had a screaming Hope strapped to her chest under her rain jacket.

The skies opened up in a deluge of pounding rain. Watching Jackson's soaked figure in front of her as he trudged through the mud of the bayou. The Crescent pack members behind her.

She felt like she had just made the biggest mistake of her life, taking Hope from Klaus. Letting his siblings dagger him.

She was terrified Dahlia would take Hope.

Because as she looked at Jackson's back through the rain, she knew emphatically he was no Klaus. Jackson may love her and was sweet with Hope but he was her stepfather not her father. Klaus would die to protect Hope.

Jackson was not cunning nor ruthless, Klaus was. She was so stupid to have gone along with this plan.

"HAND OVER THE CHILD NOW,"  Dahlia's voice boomed out above the rain, as she stood in front of a now on his hands and knees Jackson, screaming in pain.

Hayley heard the screams from the pack and turned her head to see them writhing on the ground crippled in pain, "GIVE ME THE CHILD HAYLEY,"  Dahlia commanded, her voice harsh and loud as she started to break Hayley's bones bringing her to her knees.

Her hybrid eyes glowing with anger and frustration. Her greatest fear had come true, she was the one who had delivered her baby girl into this monsters arms.

That was her last thought as she lost consciousness.

When Hayley regained consciousness she sat up in the mud and felt her chest.

Hope was gone.

She vamped upright and started to walk away ignoring Jackson and the pack. Ignoring Jackson's calls to her. Hayley heard him running after her as she trudged through the bayou the rain now stopped.

She whooshed to the compound.

Hayley rushed inside the compound.

Freya, Elijah, Marcel and Rebekah standing around talking in pressed, driven voices, ceasing as they saw Hayley and a bedraggled Jackson who was still trying to catch up with Hayley.
