CHAPTER ONE.
Klaus and Rebekah looked up at Elijah as he entered the living room and went straight to the bar, pouring himself a drink and gulping it down rather quickly and pouring himself another. Klaus glanced at Rebekah, they exchanged a look that said something was wrong with Elijah. "So what did Hayley have to say? Why is she back in the apartment across the street?" Rebekah asked Elijah's back. He turned to both Niklaus and Rebekah with an impassive face.
"She is divorcing Jackson," Klaus studied Elijah's emotionless features, the one he wore when he was very emotional, Rebekah frowned.
"Why?" She demanded.
"Hayley did not confide her reasons to me," He remarked flatly.
"How can she divorce Jackson? They have done a magical unification ceremony, is it not binding till death?" Rebekah asked.
"Hayley is speaking with Freya about the matter, she will no longer be living at the bayou. She is rather scathing of both Jackson and Mary," Elijah offered.
"You should look more pleased Elijah," Klaus drawled with a mocking tone, "The wolf lad is out of the way, now......"
"Hayley has told me she sees me only as Hope's uncle....nothing more," Elijah interrupted sharply, finishing his drink and walking away as Klaus and Rebekah looked at each other.
"Do you have any idea what is going on Nik? Surely last time Hayley brought Hope here you saw something in her to indicate she was unhappy with Jackson?" Rebekah asked as Klaus' phone rang and he looked at the caller id.
"Little wolf, what can I do for you?" He asked lightly, smirking at his unanswered sister.
"Klaus, can you have Hope tonight? I will pick her up after lunch tomorrow?" Hayley asked, bluntly.
"Of course love."
"Great, thanks, I'll drop her off at 6.30 after she has had her dinner, bye." And the call disconnected.
Then Rebekah's phone rang and she saw it was Hayley, "Hayley," Rebekah answered.
"Rebekah, come out with me tonight. I want to get drunk, come and party with me." Rebekah looked at Klaus who had a smirk back on his face at hearing Hayley's command.
"I'll be ready when you bring Hope here for Nik tonight." Rebekah heard Hayley's chuckle.
"You're in the same room together, great see you tonight," Hayley ended the call.
"Perhaps she will tell you why she wants to divorce, although it is more complicated than that being a magical union, I suppose if anyone can break it Freya can," Klaus pondered.
"It is extreme, Hayley is loyal to the wolves, this is surely going to cause problems, especially after Dahlia cursed them for six months. I wonder what has happened since they have only been human again for a few months." Rebekah pondered and remarked out loud.
