CHAPTER 1.

Klaus, had gotten Dahlia to unlink herself from Freya, before they had both come to the bayou to take Hope from Hayley before putting the curse on the Crescent wolves and Hayley, and linking Dahlia to Hope.Supposedly.

Klaus would never allow Hope to be linked to his dangerous Aunt, he would kill his Aunt before he let her get her claws into his precious Daughter. Dahlia had whipped up a torrential rainstorm that pounded down on their heads, the Crescent pack wolves immobile with indecision and rain, Hayley cowering against a large tractor in some heavy machinery mechanic's yard  in the bayou, Klaus sneered from the distance watching as the ineffective and powerless Jackson tried to shield Hayley with a hidden Hope in her arms, who was screaming her little lungs out, making Klaus shudder at his Daughter's discomfort.

For Hayley he felt nothing but hate at her taking his Daughter and running with her scruffy ineffectual Husband, and not trusting him, Klaus Mikaelson, to protect his own child, siding with his siblings to dagger him so she could take Hope away, Klaus wanted her punished, severely, and had brought Dahlia here to do just that.

Thunder was booming overhead along with vicious cracks of lightning that seemed to reach the ground in places, Klaus's wolf sense tingled and shrieked within him as a giant spear of lightning struck and hit Jackson in the head, his head bursting open and splattering over Hayley, and the lighting bolt, seemed to ricochet off him onto the baby in Hayley's arms, straight into his Daughter's chest, missing Hayley, Hope's screaming ceased, Klaus watched in slow motion it seemed, as Hayley looked down at their Daughter and let out a blood curdling scream, that shook Klaus to the core, Klaus swiftly pulled the heart from Dahlia's chest, crushing it in his hand and putting into his pocket and beheaded her, and in a flash was at Hayley's side looking down at his Hope who was pale, still and lifeless, a black mark in the center of her little chest, where her heart should have been, Hayley's screams raising above the roaring thunder, clutching the dead Hope to her chest, Hayley's head bowed over her baby, her body vibrating with tortuous emotion.

Klaus wanted to rip the world apart, instead he slayed and beheaded every Crescent wolf within the vicinity, ripping their bodies apart until they were pulpy flesh.

The thunderstorm had stopped on Dahlia's immobilization, Klaus knew she would reanimate shortly, and Klaus watched as Hayley stood, Hope still cradled in her arms,

"KILL ME," She demanded hoarsely her voice harsh and raw her eyes flat and dead, as she looked at Klaus broken and wet clutching Hope to her.

Klaus looked at her, the face that his little girl had resembled so closely, and Klaus walked to her slowly, standing in front of the broken shattered she wolf that had been cruel, dismissive and intolerant of him on arrival in New Orleans, who had at times been kind to him, who had said "Their Daughter,"

Hope had been theirs, she had given him his greatest love, his cherished Hope,

"NO," Klaus said firmly, "You are the Mother of my Child, Hope may be dead, but she was ours," Klaus said as he took Hope from her arms, "Go and grieve Hayley, I will keep the body of our Daughter safe," Klaus's voice raw with emotion as he looked down at his littlest wolf.

Hayley shifted into a wolf with a pitiful howl and bound away, Klaus looked up and watched the tawny wolf run through the woods of the bayou until she disappeared from his sight then cradling Hope to his chest he sank to the wet ground on his knees, and sobbed, his wet tears running down his face and falling on the still, lifeless Hope, Klaus cried until there no tears left, then made his way back to the Abattoir.
