Can I braid Your Hair?♡

"Hey Aether-" Xiao glances at the boy next to him pursing his lips as if he was about to ask something embarrassing.

"Hm?" The blond looks over his eyes sparkling with curiosity.

"Can you.." The adeptus pauses to look for the words "Can you teach me to braid your hair..?" He asks, feeling slight embarrassment. He had always wanted to braid it but he wasn't sure how to nor did he ever find the right time to ask.

Aether smiles brightly clasping his hands together "sure!" he hummed. Aether immediately reaches back, pulling his braid un-done. He quickly brushes his honey blond hair out letting it cascade down his back.

Aether scoots over, pulling his hair over his shoulder and starts to braid "Okay so you make three stands then.." He continued explaining slowly going through each step "And done, perfectly braided!'' He says proudly, flipping his hair.

Aether un-does his braid again, scooting into Xiao's lap to give him a turn. Xiao gingerly takes the hair, gently running his hands through it. It took him a few tries but he finally got the braid down.

Both Xiao and Aether spend the afternoon together, Xiao braiding Aether's hair over and over as Aether tells stories of all sorts.

Xiao nodded listening to each story, occasionally smiling or letting out a soft chuckle.

It was one of those days that meant nothing to everyone around them but everything to Xiao and Aether. It was a memory that would stay with each other for an eternity no matter what happened.
