Xiao lays with Aether, his eyes closed. He feels the traveler shift against him, making a soft noise. Xiao doesn't open his eyes, assuming the boy was just dreaming.
His guess was proven wrong when he felt a nose nuzzle against his cheek and soft lips pecking him. He opens his eyes to see the blond smiling down at him.
"Good morning my love" Aether smiles brightly, his blond hair cascading over the two like a curtain.
"Good morning Traveler-"
"It's someone's special day" Aether giggles, pressing a kiss onto his forehead.
"Huh?..Oh wait-" Xiao blinks realizing it was his birthday.
"I completely forgot"
"I-" Aether says, slightly shocked. "How do you forget your own birthday?"
"I don't know.." Xiao couldn't help but smile at himself.
"Well now you know" Aether sighs, rolling his eyes playfully.
"Sooo.. What do you want to do?" Aether tilted his head.
"Love on you-" Xiao says pulling the blond down. The Traveler chuckles, allowing himself to be pressed into the other's chest.
"Well we can't do this all day.."
"Says who?"
"Says me- We should celebrate your birthday!" Aether hummed, leaning up to press a kiss to his lover's lips.
"Here, why don't we go out to dinner and invite a few friends. Nothing big, just a little celebration with friends.
"fine if you insist Traveler. But I want to cuddle till then."
"Sounds perfect to me. You are the birthday boy, we can do whatever. Your wish is my desire" Aether laughs, leaning against his lover.
"I love you so much" Xiao mutters "You are the best thing that has ever happened to me"
"I-" Aether blushed, not expecting that to come from Xiao's mouth. "I love you too. You are adorable"
Xiao looks away, flustered. He shakes his head shyly, his arms rubbing little circles into the blond's back.
"Happy birthday hun"
"Thanks.." Xiao flushed at the use of the nickname 'hun'. It was rarely used by the blond but Xiao secretly loved it despite how generic and mushy it was.
