"C'monnnn pretty please?"

"Aether you know I can't cook well.." Xiao huffed stubbornly, turning his head in the other direction so he couldn't see Aether's adorable face.

"Please," The blond begs "It'll be fun, I promise!"

"no." The boy crosses his arms.

"plea-"

"Fine fine.. I'll bake a cake with you" Xiao mutters, unable to resist Aether's pleading expression which he had previously glanced at.

"Yay!" Aether beamed excitedly.

Xiao blinks as flour puffed into his face, making him sneeze and blink. He looked up at the blond who was laughing his ass off.

"That was the cutest sneeze I've ever heard" Aether says through laughs.

"Stop laughing! And it was NOT cute!" Xiao hissed, grabbing a hand-full of flour and throwing it the other's face.

"Ack!" Aether glared at Xiao after the powder had dissipated from the air. He wipes his face trying to get it out of his eye.

"Revenge is sweet" Xiao smirks, turning back to what was going to be a cake.

"Mhm.. Just wait, I'll have my revenge another time" Aether sticks out his tongue before making a face of disgust as flour had stuck to his tongue from his lips.

"Oh no I'm so scared" Xiao puffed, feigning fear as he grabbed eggs and milk from the fridge.

"As you should be" Aether giggles returning to his spot at the counter. He grabs a measuring cup and pours a little milk into it, carefully pouring it into a bowl of flour.

Aether hummed as Xiao came up behind him, wrapping his arms around his waist.

"You're going to get flour all over my shirt" Aether glances back.

"Oh hush, it's literally all over it already. I don't see the difference" Xiao mutters, watching as Aether mixes together milk, butter, sugar, flour, and a few other ingredients into a bowl.

"I don't understand how you have the patience to cook, Aether" Xiao hummed. "It's so time consuming.. And pretty boring"

"It is not boring! But I will admit it can be time consuming" Aether glances back, giving him a smile.

"Your hard work pays off though, you make the best almond tofu" Xiao nods, smiling at the thought of his favorite food.

"I have a secret ingredient I put into it" Aether smirks

"What is it?" The boy hugging him asks, immediately intrigued. He needed to know so he could make it on his own.

"It's a secret.."

Xiao puffs his cheeks out in frustration

"But I guess I.could let you in on it.." The blond smirks.

"yes!"

"My secret ingredient is.." he pauses for dramatic effect "Love"

"You are literally so cheesy. I hate you sometimes" Xiao hisses, making the blond giggle.

"Oh you love me" The taller boy teased, pouring the contents of the bowl he'd been stirring into a cake pan.

"I do.."

About an hour later Xiao and Aether finished the cake. Aether giddly takes a slice out of it, purposefully taking a part Xiao had frosted.

"This tastes so good" The blond smiles "You sure you don't want a bite?"

"You know I don't like sweets, your smile is sweet enough" Xiao hummed, watching as his lover ate.
