Xiao sat up, glancing at the boy next to him. What they had just done the night before had suddenly occurred to him. He hadn't really thought about it afterwards, too exhausted to think. He feels his face heat up, covering his mouth with his hand. Him and Aether had just fucked. Despite being unable to sleep and being lost in thought it really hadn't hit him. He had never really done something like this in his years of living..

He glances to his side at Aether who lay peacefully sleeping, his soft blond hair spread out around him like a warm pool of honey. 

The soft light from the sun peaked out from behind the mountains of Liyue illuminating his face through the small gaps in the curtains.

Xiao looked away, his focus now on his body. His eyes widened as he noticed the immense amount of hickeys and bite marks trailing from his thighs, to his chest, and probably to his neck. How in the hell was he going to cover those..

He couldn't believe that him and Aether had done that.. It felt like a dream. Everything in him felt like jelly yet it was so so amazing. He looked back at his lover and immediately went red again. Next to him lay Aether- except instead of asleep he was looking up at Xiao with a cheeky grin.

"Traveler.." Xiao huffs, his eyes still averted.

"What?" He laughed, sitting up. His arms found their way around Xiao's waist as he rested his chin against the other's bare shoulder.

"Stop with that smug look. It's insulting." Xiao spat, his nose wrinkled. 

"You love me" Aether hummed, kissing his neck gently.

"That has nothing to do with the expression you were giving me a few moments ago." Xiao scoffed, face still valberry red.

"Why are you so mad today?" Aether muttered against the nape of the other's neck, still pressing his lips to it.

"You left so many marks last night, I can't cover them all.. And I've also never done something like that with someone nonetheless and companion." 

"I'm sorry about those marks, I couldn't help myself. But hey, you seemed to enjoy yourself last night, I think they are pretty worth it if I do say so myself" Aether chuckled.

"You are so senseless" Xiao hissed, shooting the man a glare.

"Sorry sorry.." Aether smiles. After a few minutes of silence and gentle kisses against Xiao's shoulders and neck Aether spoke up again "Was I at least a good first time?"

"Are we seriously still talking about this?"Xiao groaned.

"Yes I want to know."

"Fine fine.. Yes, it was nice" Xiao mutters.

" 'm glad" Aether nods, laying back down, his arms held open. The yaksha glances back at the blond. Sighing, he laid down, leaning into Aether arms. He rested his face against Aether's chest, listening to the beat of his heart.

"Do you want to go get some almond tofu later?"

"You have the audacity to say that after the whole conversation about the marks and the fact that I can barely move my legs nonetheless walk" Xiao mutters, shooting yet another cold glare in Aether's direction.

"Pff.. Worth a shot"

Xiao rolled his eyes playfully, relaxing against Aether's warm skin. He closed his eyes, letting out a soft sigh as the two cuddled close. 

"I love you.. You know that right?" Aether mumbles.

"mhm.." Xiao nodded

"Do you love me back?"

"Yes, I do"

"Then why do you never say it back?" Aether whispered, his hands running through Xiao's hair.

".." Xiao stayed silent for a few seconds "I don't feel the need.. I thought it was just obvious I felt the same"

"I just want to hear those words. I feel quite committed to you- I just want to know if you feel the same" Aether hummed, his fingers still running through Xiao's soft hair.

"Ah.." Xiao nods, pursing his lips. Xiao's secluded and stubborn personality had seemed to slip away now replaced by a flustered man. 

"I love you, Xiao" Aether spoke again, with a small smile. He watched as the man struggled words.

"I.." Xiao clears his throat "I love you too, Aether" 

The traveler nods, kissing the other's temple. He pulled the yaksha closer, closing his eyes once more.
