It felt as if an electric spark ran through Aether's hand as the tips of his fingers brushed against Xiao's. He bit his lip nervously, feeling the other flinch against back slightly. The blonde looked away, letting out a small exhale as he tried to calm himself.
Suddenly a hand slipped into his, their fingers locking. Aether looked back over at the shorter man who cleared his throat with a small shrug. The traveler let out a small chuckle, giving the other's hand a small squeeze.
"You're cute" Aether hums, swinging their hands as they walked.
"Be quiet, that is insulting.."
"I'm only speaking truth- and no, it's a compliment" Aether shot back, wrinkling his nose at the adeptus. To this Xiao huffs, keeping his hand tightly intertwined with Aether's.
"Finally accepting the compliment?"
"No." The raven-haired boy hissed, his cheeks growing increasingly red.
"Whatever you say, Xiao" the blonde hummed, his braid swaying slightly as he let out an animated laugh.
