Xiao and Aether lay next to eachother, Aether trying his best to stay still as Xiao carefully strokes his cheek with the pads of his thumbs, leaning their foreheads together. Aether let out a soft whimper as small pins and needles shoot up his back, making him wince in pain. He squeezes his eyes shut trying to ignore the pain that was located where his wings once where.
"Traveler, deep breaths" Xiao whispered, trying to comfort him through phantom pains "You're safe with me, the pain will go away soon" The yakasha kisses his nose gently. Xiao shifts himself down, resting his head in the crook of the blond's neck, pressing small kisses. He reaches his hands back hesitantly rubbing small circles into his lovers scarred back.
"Aether.." Xiao mutters against him in a soft tone that was rarely used in their day to day life. He only used this voice when they were in private and he was trying to help his traveler.Aether takes a deep breath allowing himself to relax slightly
It took around 10 minutes but the pain slowly started to subside, allowing the blond to become much less tense. Xiao listened as his heart beat slowed, and he was coaxed into slumber. He couldn't help but smile and leave one more soft kiss against the blond's jaw. Despite his love being dead-asleep he continued to gently rub circles into his back, whispering sweet nothings against him; He was hoping this would trigger happy dreams for the traveler, allow him to forget the pain.
The yakasha slowly began to trace the scars of the blond, feeling the blond relax even further in his grasp. He knew the blond loved it when he did this- so he continued, carefully tracing each and every scar, outlining them with his soft touch.
"Goodnight my dear traveler, I love you.." Xiao smiled. A soft hum was heard from the traveler as Xiao carefully nuzzled against him.
