Aether sat down at a cafe, his friend Paimon had dragged him here promising a huge surprise despite the fact Aether had not wanted to come. He had kind of been in a depressive state recently thinking about his boyfriend, Xiao, who lived across the world from him.

"Paimon what are we-" 

"Shush shush! Just wait, you'll thank me later. Now close your eyes- and don't peak!" She says disappearing behind a wall.

Aether sighs covering his eyes with his hands. What in the world did she have planned? He didn't have a single guess... What could be sooo important that she had to drag him out to a cafe?

Aether sat there for what seemed like forever before he felt a gentle tap on his shoulder. 

"You can look!" Paimon says, her voice seeming farther away.

If Paimon hadn't tapped him who had- Aether opened his eyes turning around, he let out a small gasp staring at the person behind him in shock

"Xiao.." He breathes.

"Hey ther-" Xiao was cut off as Aether tackled him with a hug almost knocking him over. Aether wraps his leg tightly around his waist, hooking onto him like a koala bear.

"Xiao!" Aether repeats, squishing his face between his hands "Holy shit- You're here- You're real- How" 

Xiao instinctively leans into the touch, shrugging "Paimon invited me, she told me you've been.. Upset. I had some free time so she planned this whole thing" 

Aether turns to face Paimon "I take back any mean thing I've ever said to you- You are literally the best!" He grins tears streaming down his face as he looked at Paimon

Paimon nods grinning "It was the least Paimon could do-"

Aether turned back to Xiao kissing all over his face

"I still can't believe you're here!" He exclaims between kisses.

Xiao looks away, flustered from all the physical contact.

 "We're in public" He murmurs, not actually minding the kisses.

"I don't care- I'm just so happy to see you!" The blond smiles, his cheeks rosy and his eyes sparkling with happy tears.
