Xiao found himself quietly reading atop of Aether's bed while the blond did commissions. He didn't get much time to himself but now was one of those rare moments. He blinked, flipping the page to the next, silently reading the story as it unfolded. He knitted his brow as he read carefully, examining and trying to imagine the situation of the book.

Aether entered the Serenitea pot. He glanced around the house looking for Xiao before finding his way to the bed where Xiao sat reading. He smiled to himself sitting down beside the raven-haired man.

"Hey, Traveler" Xiao murmured distractedly as he continued with his book. Aether chuckles saying a simple hello before taking off his armor and setting it aside. Aether sits down on the bed watching silently as his lover read.

He smiles to himself, leaning his chin on Xiao's shoulder, trying to catch a glimpse of what the adeptus was reading as well as just try and sneakily snake attention from his lover. Unable to gain what he wanted, the boy became bored.

Aether slid his arms around Xiao's hips, leaning his face against Xiao's shoulder blade. He starts to leave soft kisses.

The adeptus sighed softly, trying his best to stay focused on the book, which he was quite honestly enjoying.

Aether began to kiss up from his shoulder blade, starting to trail towards his back. Aether started to kiss up Xiao's upper back to the nape of his neck.

Xiao shivered slightly at the touch. Xiao shook his head slightly, flipping the page again. Honestly, the contents in which he was reading was starting to become mush in his brain, barely remembered because of how distracting the blond was being.

Aether smirks, kissing up to Xiao's neck. The blond nuzzles and kisses against the side of his neck before starting to gently suck and bite on it. Xiao blinks glancing back at the blond who was leaning against him.

"Traveler..." Xiao warned to Aether's dismay. The blond sighed letting go (although he was still satisfied with the small pink mark left).

"mm..but.." Aether pouts nuzzling against his attempted hickey.

"No." Xiao gently bapped Aether's head.

"Fine.." The traveler sighs dramatically, stopping his nuzzling.

The adeptus carefully put his book down, turning himself around. He climbed into Aether's lap, leaning against him.

"pff.. You're so cute" Aether smirks, lifting Xiao's chin up to kiss him.

Aether woke up to Xiao, standing above him, flicking his forehead. The blond wrinkled his nose, his hands immediately over his forehead.

"What was that for?!-" Aether huffed, looking up at his lover. Xiao looked pretty mad.. But Aether found it adorable considering he had borrowed a shirt and pair of shorts.

"For this.. And this and.." Xiao began pointing out purple hickeys and bites over his body.

"And these.. And"

"I'm sorryyyy- and half of those won't be noticed!"

"The thighs, fine. But you had to get at my neck" Xiao hissed, turning away, his arms crossed.

"Forgive me, it was in the heat of the moment!" Aether whined, sitting up and carefully grabbing Xiao's hand.

"Hmph" Xiao turned away attempting to pull his hand away; Unfortunately for him, Aether pulled him again, making him fall onto the bed.

"Aeth.."

"I'm sorry, they look pretty on you- especially between y-"

"Don't finish that-" Xiao glared, deciding to slip under the blankets.

The adeptus reluctantly allowed Aether to pull him against his bare chest. He relaxed slightly, resting his head against his shoulder.

'warm.. So warm,' Xiao thought with a soft sigh. He'd figure out the love marks later, he was too busy enjoying Aether's presence.
