While continuing on their journey for Goldenrod City, Emma and her friends found a nice place for a Pokémon pitstop near a lake. Misty turned to her best friends, "Hey, guys. Why don't we stop here?"

"Who wants me to start cooking up my famous beef stew?" Brock asked. Emma, Ash and Misty smiled, "I do!"

The Pikachu and Togepi called out their agreements. "How about we'll get the Pokémon out for some fresh air?" Emma asked as she placed Togepi on the grass and stood, pulling out her Poké balls. "That's a great idea, Em!" Misty said as she pulled out her Poké balls.

Emma threw her Poké balls, "Come on out, guys!" Scizor, Sneasel and Houndour were released. Misty threw her Poké balls, "You guys come out and play!" Goldeen, Staryu, Poliwhirl and Psyduck were released, and got into the water.

But then, Psyduck screamed and Misty pulled it out from the water with a sigh. "Psyduck, stop getting into the water if you afraid."

"Psy," it said with a tilt of its head. Ash threw his Poké balls, "Let's have some fun, guys!" Totodile, Cyndaquil, Chikorita and Bulbasaur were released. "Hey, Totodile, why don't you swim with Misty's Pokémon?"

"Totodile!" it said happily and immediately jumped into the water to play. Togepi wanted to join in and ran happily to the water, "Togy! Togy!"

But then Sneasel took the Egg Pokémon into his arms, and shook his head, "Sneasel!"

"They're having a blast, aren't they?" Misty asked as they watched the Pokémon relaxing and the water Pokémon swimming around. "Yeah," Ash agreed with a chuckle. "They sure do," Emma agreed. "Pokémon need to have fun just as much as their trainers do," Brock said.

Totodile spotted some Magikarp splashing about in the distance and started juggling them with its Water Gun. "Wow, Totodile's talented!" Misty said. "Yeah, and it certainly knows how to hog the spotlight," Brock agreed.

With talent like that, it should compete in Pokémon Contests, Emma thought with a soft smile.

While Brock was cooking his beef stew, Emma, Misty and Ash were preparing the table for them and the map on the grass for the Pokémon. Brock tested his beef stew, and smiled, "This is my best yet. It's as almost as good as the kind in a can."

"That can't be, your food and Emma's is always better," Misty complimented. Brock laughed, "Thanks." Misty turned back to the table while Brock looked forward when he saw the bushes moving, "Huh?"

Then, he saw a Golduck walking out from the bushes, looking around. "Hey, guys, check it out," Brock said, and Emma, Misty and Ash turned to him. They followed his gaze and smiled. "Hey, it's a Golduck," Ash said.

"A chance like this doesn't come along very often," Misty said quietly as she pulled out an empty Poké ball, "I'm gonna catch it before it gets away."

Brock stood up, "Wait a second, Misty. Let's find out what that Golduck's doing here first." Emma frowned, "Yeah, he's right. There's a good chance that this Golduck already has a trainer."

Ash blinked, "Hey, it looks like it's looking around for something." Misty frowned sadly, "Well... maybe it's just looking for a trainer like me to catch it." Emma raised an eyebrow, "Don't bet on it. Like I said, there is a chance that it already has a trainer."

"Golduck!"

They looked back at the Golduck and a young pretty woman walked between the bushes with a Pidgey on her shoulder. "Told you," Emma said. Misty sighed sadly as she put her Poké ball away, "Sometimes, I hate it when you're right."
