Now aboard a ferry from Trovitopolis, Emma and her friends are heading straight toward Trovita Island. They saw that the Island was surrounded by whirlpools and huge spiked rocks. "What are those spiky things?" Ash asked.

"They are rocks that formed millions of years ago when Trovita Island rose up from the ocean," Tracey explained. "Wow, that's so cool," Emma said. "Wonder what kind of a Trovita Island Gym Leader is like," Misty said.

"Well, I hope it's somebody who knows how to lose, 'cause that's what gonna happen," Ash said with a smirk. The Pikachu's ears moved as they potted something in one of the whirlpools, "Pika-Pika!"

"What is it?" Emma asked as she and her friends followed their gaze. "Help!" There was a little girl and a Seel that were caught in the strong current, crying for help.

"She's drowning!" Tracey shouted. "Hold on, we coming!" Emma shouted and pulled out a Poké ball, releasing Gyarados, "Gyarados, go!"

Misty jumped into the water and looked at Gyarados, "Let's go, Gyarados." Gyarados roared and dived down with the redhead girl. A few seconds after, he appeared with Misty, Seel and the little girl.

"Gyarados, take them to the Island!" Emma called and Gyarados roared before swimming to the Trovita Island.

Misty looked at the little girl with a soft smile, "That was a close call, are you okay?" she asked. The little girl nodded, "Yeah," she answered softly, "I was just taking a swim with Seel, I didn't mean to get far."

"You have to be carful in the ocean," Misty said softly, "The currents can be dangerous, so always make sure to swim with other people around, okay?" The little girl smiled and nodded. Misty winked, "And Seel."

The two exchanged a chuckle as Gyarados slowed to a stop next to the dock. The ship with Emma, Ash and Tracey stopped at the dock and everyone got out as a young boy, who must be around Tracey's age run closer with a few boys following.

"Mary!" the boy called. "Big brother!" the little girl, Mary said. The boy picked her up and they hugged tightly. Emma looked at Gyarados, "Thanks Gyarados, return." Gyarados went back into his Poké ball and the kids looked back at the siblings.

"Mary, never go swimming alone again," the boy said. "I won't," Mary said. The boy placed her down on her feet and looked at Misty, "I am very grateful to you, I can't thank you enough for saving my sister."

"Oh, it's nothing, I was happy to help," Misty said. "Your name?" the boy asked. "My name's Misty," the redhead said. "Misty... you amazing," the boy said. Misty blinked in surprise while Emma smirked slightly, and Ash and Tracey stared.

"Oh... thank you," the redhead girl said, blushing as the boy took her hand and kissed it. "That's weird," Tracey muttered with a slight frown. Emma looked from him to Misty and then back and forth twice before smirking again, "Now I see," she muttered.

"See what?" Ash whispered. Emma smiled and gave a soft chuckle but didn't answer. She looked at Misty, "Anyway, sorry to break it up, but we got to go and find the Gym here." Mary smiled, "My big brother Rudy, is the Gym Leader here."

Emma and her friends looked surprised and looked at Rudy who smirked. "You the Gym Leader?" Misty asked. "That's right," he said with a nod. "Well, I'm Ash Ketchum, and I'm here to win an Orange League Gym badge," Ash said.

Rudy smirked, "What's make you think you can beat me?" he asked. Ash looked annoyed now, "I already won two of the badges I need to get to the Orange League from trainers who were a lot tougher than you look."

"Ash," Emma warned. "That's nice," Rudy said, "Naturally, I will be glad to accept your challenge, but first you will have to pass a little test."

"Don't worry, I will," Ash said. "I hope you'll have a good luck, Ash," Mary said. "Thanks," Ash said. "You'll need a lots of it to beat my big brother," Mary said and Emma sighed.
