Chapter 67 - Forest Grumps

Emma and her friends found a spot near a lake to spend the rest of the day with their Pokémon. "It's great to have a chance to enjoy a little rest and relaxation, isn't it, guys?" Brock asked as they watched their Pokémon wandering around.

"Sure is," Misty agreed as Emma placed a bowl of Pokémon food so Togepi could eat. "And the Pokémon think it's pretty great too," Ash said. "Togy! Togy!" the Egg Pokémon said happily in agreement.

The kids sat under a tree and watched the Pokémon enjoying themselves for a while until the peace was interrupted by a loud bang. Everyone looked up and saw a large beam of light approaching before it turned into a large net that trapped all the Pokémon.

Emma and her friends quickly stood up. "Guys!" Ash called. 

"Prepare for trouble, it's our greatest plan yet!"

Emma and her friends looked up and saw Team Rocket's air balloon raising up.

"Make it double, all it took was a net!"

"To protect the world from devastation."

"To unite all peoples within our nation."

"To denounce the evils of truth and love."

"To extend our reach to the stars above."

"Jessie."

"James."

"Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light."

"Surrender now or prepare to fight, fight, fight, FIIII-ght!"

"Meowth, dat's right!"

"Team Rocket!" Emma called in annoyance. "You took an awful chance letting all of his Pokémon out at once!" Jessie cheered.

"But it was a wonderful chance for us!" James said. "And now, for one last special guest!" Meowth said and pressed a button on a remote control. Another net was blasted and hit straight onto Emma, startling the kids. Before they could do anything, Emma was pulled up next to the Pokémon as Team Rocket cheered.

"Hey!" Misty shouted. "And now dat we got all ya Pokémon and your friend, we get the chance ta say goodbye!" Meowth said and the trio laughed. "You can't kidnap our friend and steal our Pokémon!" Misty snapped as Ash glared up at them, "You're not gonna get away with this!"

"Yes, we will!"

Right then, a Hyper Beam attack blasted from the forest and into the sky, hitting the air balloon, and causing the nets to drop to the ground with the balloon, shocking everyone. "Guys!" Ash said and he, Misty and Brock ran closer.

"Ow," Emma muttered as Sneasel freed her with its claws. "Emma, are you okay?" Brock asked. "Yeah, I think so," Emma answered as she got up. 

"Hey, who shot us down?" Meowth asked. Right then, they all heard loud footsteps, and they turned to see a couple of angry looking Pokémon. "Guys, those are Ursaring!" Brock warned. "Ursaring?" Ash repeated.

Ursaring is a bipedal, ursine Pokémon. Its broad body is covered in brown fur, except for its muzzle, inner ears, and paw pads, which are a light tan. It has narrow eyes, a triangular, black nose, and a wide mouth with small, visible fangs in the upper jaw. The fur on Ursaring's shoulders is longer and more structured, with rectangular extensions. A female Ursaring has longer fur on its shoulders than a male. There is a large, tan, ring-shaped mark shaped like a new moon on its chest. Ursaring's forelimbs are long, ending in five claws each, while its hind legs are short and thick, ending in three claws each. Its tail is large and spherical in shape.

The Ursaring then fired multiple Hyper Beams, which everyone dodged. Emma and her friends turned to their Pokémon, "Return, everybody!"

All the Pokémon returned to their Poké balls. Emma grabbed Togepi into her arms as the herd started to charge at them, making everyone ran off.
