Chapter 10 - Evolution Time? Tyrogue Style!

On Kinnow Island, Emma and her friends decided to rest for a bit, with their Pokémon. While her friends were at the beach, Emma went to the Pokémon Center to talk to her family.

After a minute, the screen turned on and Alice appeared, "Hello?" she asked. "Hey Mom," Emma said with a smile. "Pika-Pika!" her Pikachu said, waving. "Togy, Togy," Togepi said. Alice smiled, "Hey sweetie! How are you and your friends?"

"We okay, what about everyone home?"

"We all okay. John called before and said he met up with you. Where you calling from?"

"Kinnow Island. We decided to take a little break before searching for an Island with a Gym for Ash to battle."

Alice nodded, "I see. Oh, and it's a really good timing for you to call. Your father wanted to ask you for your Scyther." Emma blinked, "Scyther? Why?" she asked. "Must be for a research. Would you mind?" Alice asked.

"Uh, no, I guess not," Emma said as she pulled out Scyther's Poké ball, "Think it will take a while?" Alice shook her head, "I don't think so, but if it's a problem, I'm sure your father will understand."

"No problem," Emma said as she shook her head. She stepped toward the transfer machine and placed the Poké ball inside and it disappeared. She turned back to the screen, "I've sent him."

Alice moved from the screen before reappearing with Scyther's Poké ball, "Thank you honey. You make sure to be careful, okay?" she asked. "I will, Mom, talk to you soon," Emma said, before hanging up.

Emma went back to meet up with her friends and let out her Pokémon. "All right, guys, go on and have fun," she said as she placed Togepi down on the sand. The Egg Pokémon jumped up and down before running off, with both the Pikachu following it.

Ash looked at Emma as she sat down next to him, "Hey, where's Scyther?" he asked. "He's back home, Dad needs him," Emma answered. Tyrogue walked closer to Psyduck, who was standing near the water where Misty was playing with her Water Pokémon.

"Tyrogue," the Scuffle Pokémon said before dragging the Duck Pokémon closer to the water. A long moment after Psyduck's feet touched the water, it started panicking. Misty turned to its calls and placed her hands on her hips, "Psyduck, you not even deep in!"

Psyduck ran out of the water, still panicking. "Psyduck!" the redhead girl called in annoyance. The Duck Pokémon hit into a Pokémon and fell on the sand. Misty and Tyrogue ran closer. "Psyduck, are you okay?" Misty asked. Psyduck sat up, holding its head, "Psy."

The Pokemon turned around and was revealed to be a Hitmonlee. "Hitmonlee," the Kicking Pokémon said in annoyance. Emma, Ash and Tracey looked over as Misty looked at Hitmonlee, "Uh, sorry Hitmonlee," she said.

Hitmonlee looked from her to the Duck Pokémon and suddenly hit it on the head with his leg. "Hey! Why did you do that for?!" Misty snapped. "Tyrogue!" Tyrogue said as he glared up at Hitmonlee, standing in front of Psyduck.

"What's going on here?" Ash asked as he, Emma and Tracey ran closer. They heard a laugh and looked over to see a boy around their age walking closer. He smirked, "That's for bumping into him."

"That's not funny," Misty snapped as she stood up. "Tyrogue," Tyrogue agreed and both he and Hitmonlee glared at each other. "That Psyduck looks dumb, and I bet that Tyrogue fights like a girl," the boy said, crossing his arms over his chest with a smirk.

"What did you just say?" Emma asked as she and Misty glared at him. "You heard me," the boy said, "This Tyrogue belongs to one of you right?"

"He's mine, you got a problem?" Emma asked in annoyance. "Figured," the boy said smugly. "You causing trouble again, little cousin?" a female voice spoke up and they all turned around to see a girl around Tracey's age walking closer with a Hitmonchan.
