Note: Okay, so with chapter 99, I was originally working on something else (another contest), but I got stuck. Emma's contest journey was meant to begin later (in Book 3), but I ended up introducing it earlier than planned, partly due to pressure and expectations.
It's been six months, and during that time I lost some enjoyment in writing this part of the story. Because of that, I've decided to return and continue the story the way I originally planned.
From here on, Book 2 will focus on the main journey and character development, and contests will not be a central part of this book.

A day later, just past noon, the group continued on their journey toward the Johto League, the road to Olivine City stretching wide and open before them.
As they reached a gentle clearing, Molly slowed her steps, her small hand loosely holding onto Ash's hand. Her blue eyes lifted toward the distance, widening in wonder as she pointed ahead.
"What is that?" she asked, her voice filled with curiosity.
The others followed her gaze.
Tall structures rose in the distance, their long blades turning slowly and steadily with the wind, creating a soft, rhythmic motion against the bright sky.
Brock smiled slightly as he adjusted the strap of his bag. "Those are windmills," he explained. "They make electricity."
Molly blinked, tilting her head as she tried to understand. "They... make electricity?"
"Yeah," Brock continued patiently, crouching slightly so he was closer to her height. "The wind turns the blades, and inside there are turbines that create power."
Molly stared at the windmills for a moment longer, clearly fascinated, even if she did not fully understand. "That's cool..." she murmured quietly.
Ash lifted a hand to hold his cap in place as a stronger gust of wind swept past them. "It's really breezy up here," he said, squinting slightly.
Misty brushed a strand of her hair behind her ear, letting out a small sigh as the wind cooled her skin. "It actually feels nice, though."
Brock looked around the clearing before nodding. "Let's take a break here."
Emma shifted slightly, glancing over at the others before nodding in agreement. "Yeah," she said, a small smile forming. "And we can let the Pokémon out for some fresh air."
"Sounds good to me," Ash added.
Moments later, Poké Balls opened in soft flashes of light, and their Pokémon appeared around them, immediately reacting to the open space and the steady breeze.
The group settled onto a cluster of sun-warmed rocks, the quiet of the area wrapping around them in a calm, almost peaceful stillness.
Chikorita was the first to move, happily hopping straight onto Molly's lap. The little girl let out a bright giggle, wrapping her arms around the small Pokémon as it nuzzled against her.
Togepi trilled cheerfully before waddling off toward Totodile, the two quickly falling into playful movements together. Nearby, both Pikachu settled comfortably on the ground, their tails flicking lazily as they relaxed beside Houndoom and Ursaring.
The wind continued to move gently through the clearing, carrying soft sounds with it—the turning of the windmills in the distance, the quiet laughter of Molly, and the contented sounds of the Pokémon at ease.
