Chapter 19 - Romeo and Juliet? Pokémon Style!

Emma and her friends were walking in a small town named Yambera. "It sure is a nice and quiet place," Tracey said. "Yeah, kinda looks like it's from a history book," Ash said. "Yambera town does have a bit of history behind it," Emma said with a soft chuckle.

"I wonder if they had a Pokémon Center back in the old days," Ash said. "Maria!" The kids looked forward and saw a young girl running around and calling out, "Maria! Maria! Where are you?" She slowed to a stop in front of the kids, "Excuse me but maybe you can help me, have you seen my little Maria?"

"Uh, who's little Maria?" Ash asked. The girl leaned back, "Oh, sorry, you strangers here. Maria is my Pokémon, a Nidoran," she explained. "Nidoran?" Misty repeated.

The girl nodded, "Yes. My Maria is this big, and she has a pretty blue colour, and she got long ears, and bright eyes, and the cutest little bug teeth. She's smart, and strong and--oh Maria is just the best Nidoran in the whole world!"

"Uh... Nidoran," Ash said and pulled out his Dexter.

Nidoran. Male. The Poison Pin Pokémon.

The girl frowned slightly, "Wait, that a boy Nidoran. Maria is a girl Nidoran, there's a big different." Ash pressed a button of Dexter, "Okay..."

Nidoran. Female. Its poison pin is quite powerful for its size, but its horn is smaller than a male's.

"I never knew a male and female Nidoran are so different," Ash admitted. The girl looked sad, "Maria has been running away a lot lately, and I just hope I can find her."

Ash smiled, "Don't you worry, with us helping, you'll find your Nidoran." Emma, Misty, Tracey, the Pikachu and Togepi smiled and agreed.

Emma and Ash were searching together with their Pikachu and Togepi in one of the park's gardens while Tracey, Misty and the girl, Emily, were searching in the other side, and Emma's Murkrow was helping with the search from above in the air.

"Maria!" Ash and Emma called, "Maria! Maria!"

"Where are you?" Emma called, "Maria!"

"Maria!" Ash called.

"Tony!"

"Maria!" Ash called again.

"Tony!"

"To--" Ash cut himself in confusion and looked over to see a boy running around, "Tony! Where are you boy?"

"Who's that kid?" Ash asked Emma as she walked closer. "No idea," Emma said. The boy ran closer to them, "You haven't seen my Pokémon, Tony, have ya?" he asked. "What is it?" Ash asked.

"Oh, you... you not from here. My Tony is a Nidoran," the boy said. The Pikachu, who were busy eating apples, suddenly stopped and looked over when they heard him. "Nidoran?" Ash and Emma asked together.

The boy nodded, "Yeah, Nidoran. I say he's this big, maybe a little bigger, kinda little purple pinkish, and he got big ears, little bug teeth, and a horn coming out of his head. If you saw Tony, you'd know he's the best Pokémon in the whole world. But lately he's been running away a lot."

"I'll look it up again," Ash said as he pulled out his Dexter.

Nidoran. Female.

"That's not it," the boy said, "Tony is a boy Nidoran." Ash pressed another button.

Nidoran. Male. Its horn is larger than the female's and its Horn Attack is quite powerful.

"Wow, two Nidoran in one day," Ash said. The boy looked up from the Dexter, "What do you mean?"
