Emma and her friends were still on their way to Violet City, and they walked out the woods. They stopped just before a large valley with a beautiful view. "Oh, wow!" Ash said. "Look at that!" Brock said. "Beautiful," Emma said.

"What a great view," Misty said. "It's gonna be a nice hike through this valley," Brock said. Ash grinned, "Come on! The sooner we get started, the sooner we get to Violet City." The male mouse nodded, "Pika-Pika!"

Right then, a large rumbling was felt, startling the kids. A few rocks fell down a cliff, and the kids quickly moved away in time. And just as quick as it started, the rockslide stopped, to their relief. "Great, more adventure," Misty muttered.

"I guess we're getting off to a rocky start, huh?" Ash asked. "Let's get going before it happens again," Brock said. "Yeah, the last thing we need is to get caught in a rock slide," Emma said and they started to walk.

The kids were hiking through the canyon when they stopped as they heard something. "I heard something," Ash said. "Yeah, me too," Emma said. "Pika-Pika?" the male mouse asked. The group found a Pokémon on the side between the bushes.

"Guys, it's a Pokémon," Misty said. "Hey, we saw one like that before, didn't we?" Emma asked. "Yeah, I think we did," Ash agreed as he pulled out his Dexter.

Donphan, the Armor Pokémon. With its strong tusks and tough skin, Donphan is known for its powerful Tackle attack. The length of Donphan's tusks indicate its level.

Ash smiled, "Sounds good to me. Now, I just gotta catch it," he said as he pulled out a Poké ball. Brock put his hand on Ash's shoulder, "Just a second, Ash. I think it's better if I capture this one."

"What makes you say that?" Ash asked. "Just look at those tusks. See how short they are compared to the ones in the Pokédex?" Brock asked. "Yes. So?" Ash asked. Brock smiled as he placed his hands on his hips, "It's young, and it needs a good breeder to help it grow. And that should obviously be me."

"I get it. You'll learn about what a Donphan likes by raising it, that way you'll improve your breeding skills," Emma said as she nodded. "Exactly," Brock said with a nod. Ash looked from his girlfriend to Brock, "I'll help it grow."

"That is also true," Emma muttered. Brock frowned, "Don't be selfish, Ash. Think of what's best for that Donphan," he said. "I'm what's best for that Donphan," Ash said. "Well, I say I--" Brock started but Emma and Misty cut them off as they stood between them. "Come on, boys, there's really nothing for you to fight over," Emma said.

"Yeah, the Donphan's leaving," Misty said as she looked forward. The boys and Emma looked over and saw the Donphan was slowly walking away. "Wait!" Brock said. "Where are you going?" Ash asked.

"We can't let that Donphan get away! Onix, go!" Brock said as he threw Onix's Poké ball, releasing it. Donphan turned to it and Brock called out, "Onix, use your Tackle attack!" Onix tackled it, but Donphan recovered by curling up into a ball and rolling at Onix, hitting and defeating it right away.

"Onix!" Brock said as they stared in shock. "That was fast!" Misty said. "That's a Rollout attack!" Emma said. "You tried your best, Onix," Brock said as he held Onix's Poké ball, returning it, and spoke to Ash, "Better take your best shot."

Ash held a Poké ball, "Okay. I'll try something new. I choose you, Heracross!" He threw it and released Heracross, "Heracross, try a Tackle attack, now!" Heracross tackled it, but Donphan charged forward with another Rollout attack.

"Quick, stop that Donphan with a Horn Attack!" Ash called. Heracross hit Donphan with its horn, sending it into a tree. "Great job!" Ash said, "It's getting tired, Heracross. One more attack and that should do it."
