"These are legendary Pokémon, Molly. Lots of people believe in them, even though they've never seen them. And in this book, the artist imagined what some of them might look like."
The five years old girl, Molly Hale flipped through the pages of her story book, and pointed at an image of Pokémon with a smile, "This is the one you're looking for, right Papa? "
Spencer Hale nodded, "Yes, I've been looking for it since... for a long time now."
"It looks funny," Molly said and flipped to another page and smiled, "There's Entei!"
"Entei looks a little scary to me," Spencer said. "But you like Entei."
Molly nodded, "Entei's real big and strong, but it's still nice. Just like you are, Papa."
Spencer chuckled and looked at his daughter, "I'm like Entei, am l? lmagine that." He made his voice deeper, "Well, then I am Entei!" He mimicked a roar and Molly smiled and jumped on his back, "You're Entei!"
They laughed and Spencer jumped to his feet, "Here we go!" He mimicked another roar as he ran around the room, making the little girl laugh.
Their laugh faded away when they heard the computer beeping. Molly looked sad, "Another e-mail. It must be Schuyler again. It's always him."
Spencer placed Molly down on her feet and walked to the computer. He opened the video and saw his assistant, Schuyler. "Professor, we found something. A hidden chamber with new clues about the Unown. Please, come quickly."
"I've got to go now, Molly," Spencer said as he closed the video. "Are you going back to the desert, Papa?" Molly asked in a sad tone. "Yes," Spencer answered.
"Papa, I'm going to miss you," Molly said. Spencer picked her up into his arms, "And I'll miss you." He smiled softly, "I'll be back just as soon as I can." They embraced as Spencer said softly, "Keep me close in your dreams."
Spencer placed her on her bed and she climbed under the blankets. "I love you," he said. "I love you, too," Molly said. "Pleasant dreams, Molly," Spencer said.
With that he turned and switched off the lights, and walked out of the room.
Molly watched him leave sadly, before looking at her nightstand where framed pictures of her with her parents and with the Ketchum family. Molly ducked her head under the blanket.
Keep me close in your dreams...
I love you Molly...
Molly opened her eyes and blinked at the lights coming from outside her window. She sat up and quickly got out of the bed. She got dressed and walked to her window. She saw the black car at the front and smiled, "Papa!"
She ran downstairs, hoping to greet her father at the dining room after two days apart. She panted as she ran in, but paused when she saw only Schuyler and the butler, David. "Molly," Schuyler said sadly as he stood up.
"I should tell her," David said as he stared at the little girl in sadness, "Come, my dear." Molly hesitated but walked closer to his side. "Where's... where's Papa?" she asked.
At Kanto, at Pallet town in the Ketchum house, Delia Ketchum was watering her garden when Mimey came out, calling for her, "Mr. Mime! Mr. Mime!"
"A phone call?" Delia asked and Mimey nodded, "Mr. Mime." Delia walked into the house and to the screen to see the Hale's Butler's image there. "Oh, hello David," Delia said, "Is everything alright?"
"Hello, Mrs. Ketchum. I'm afraid not. I am sorry to have to let you know this, but Master Spencer is now went missing during one of his expeditions."
