A/N: Hey guys, I was going to post this chapter last week, but I got tragic news of a family member passing away, so I just... stopped everything. Took the week off to be with my family. Now, I'm back, but it will take some time for me to fully come back to the book, the rest of my books, and even to be at the site. There will be times that I will want to, and maybe I will post another chapter for the book, maybe even the next day for another book, or maybe I won't post for another week, who knows?

I love you guys, thanks for the understanding, and for the support <3

Emma and her friends were walking down a path toward a bridge, where they slowed to a stop as they saw it was a gap in the middle of it. "That's weird," Emma said, "It looked fine before when we spotted it on top of the mountain... right?"

"Yeah," Misty said with a frown while Brock looked back down at the map in his hands. "I wonder how that happened?" Ash asked. "Now what?" Emma asked. "I guess we could keep walking along the river till we find another bridge," Misty suggested.

"Yeah, but the map says the nearest one's ten miles away," Brock said. "Ten miles?" Ash asked, "There must be some other way." Suddenly, they heard a whistle and looked back to see a girl floating in on a sling held up by six Ladybug-looking Pokémon.

Its wing covers are red with five black spots; this pattern differs slightly for each individual. The wings themselves are transparent. Its main body and lower jaw are yellow, while the rest of its head is red. It has large, round eyes and a pair of black antennae. The antennae are shorter on the female than on the male. It has six black legs with white hands that resemble boxing gloves.

"Oh wow, look at that," Emma said with a smile. "Woah. Let's see what they are," Ash said as he pulled out his Dexter.

Ledyba, the Five Star Pokémon. These naturally gentle Bug types gather in groups during cold weather to keep warm.

Brock pulled out a pair of binoculars and looked through them, "Girl travelling, with Ledyba, this natural beauty, short, boyish hairstyle, provides the ideal complement to her warm, feminine features... this girl is obviously Brock's type!"

Ash and the Pikachu stared at him with a raised eyebrow, while Misty slapped a hand on her face with an annoyed groan and Emma sighed as she looked up and shook her head. "Here we go again," the redhead girl said in annoyance. "This is getting old," Emma muttered.

Brock ignored them and waved, "Hello?! Hello?!" The girl noticed them as he continued, "Yoohoo! Over here!" The girl blinked before looking at the Pokémon, "Begin your descent, decrease speed 50 percent and prepare for immediate landing." The girl used her whistle and the Ledyba started to move down towards Emma and her friends.

Ash looked around Emma at their redhead friend with a frown, "Ledyba are Bug Pokémon, Misty. How come you're not starting to bug out yet?" Emma raised an eyebrow and smirked slightly, "Yeah, you have something that calls entomophobia, remember?"

Misty smiled as she stared up at the Pokémon, "They're cute. The only thing that's bugging me now is Brock." Emma smirked again, "Obviously," she said as Ash scoffed in amusement.

Brock smiled as he gazed at the new girl, "This is like a miracle!" Emma rolled her eyes, "In coming," she said in amusement. The girl landed, and Brock charged forward and grabbed her hands, "Thank goodness that you have come to save us, why... why you're like an angel out of the blue."

The girl blinked as she moved her hands away, "Can I help you with something?" she asked. "Yes, miss," Ash said, "We need to get across the water, and Brock needs to get back to earth."
