Chapter 22 - Bound For Trouble

Emma and her friends have now stopped on Fairchild Island, the four of them sitting on the grass in the woods, looking at the map. "It's says on the map that this side of the Island supposed to be full of Pidgeot and Rhydon," Tracey said.

"Cool," Ash said. "And they are bigger than usual," Tracey added. "Bigger?" Emma repeated as she raised an eyebrow. "How come?" Misty asked. "Well, there's a lots of fruit trees around here so there must be a lot to eat here," Tracey said.

"Come on then, let's grab our backpacks and continue on," Emma said as she stood up. Her friends stood up as well and they all went to nearest tree to grab their backpacks that they left.

Suddenly, they all fell into a hole and groaned in pain. "Not again," Misty muttered. They heard laughing and looked up to see Team Rocket.

"Prepare for trouble!"

"Make it double!"

"To protect the world from devastation."

"To unite all people's within our nation."

"To denounce the evils of truth and love."

"To extended our reaches to the stars above."

"Jessie."

"James."

"Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light."

"Surrender now or prepare to fight!"

"Meowth! That's right!"

"We are so happy to see you dropping by," Jessie said with a smirk. "Now, let's grab Emma," Meowth said as he held up a remote control and pressed a button.

Team Rocket's air balloon flew above the hole and a metal hand appeared under the basket before quickly reaching down to grab Emma. Before anyone could react, Emma was pulled up as she let go of Togepi. "Pikachu-Pi!" the female mouse called.

"Emma!" Ash, Misty and Tracey called. Team Rocket laughed as they jumped into the air balloon. "Bye-bye!" Jessie said as they started to leave with Emma. The girl tried to pull herself out of the metal hand, but it was no use.

"Get back here!" Misty shouted and she and the boys started to climb up the hole. "Pikachu-Pi!" the female Pikachu called as she and the male mouse jumped on Ash's shoulders.

The kids got out of the hole and saw Team Rocket getting away. "Emma!" Ash called as he stood and quickly ran after the air balloon with the Pikachu. Misty and Tracey stood and quickly followed.

Team Rocket's air balloon had landed somewhere and the trio were standing around Emma, who was now locked with a belt around her waist that attached with James' belt that was around his waist. "Now you can't get away," James said, "Looks like we stuck together for a bit."

Emma tugged on the rope binding her and James together in annoyance, "Great," she said sarcastically. "From now on, wherever James goes, Emma goes," Jessie said happily. "Like a shadow," Meowth said and they laughed while Emma looked at them in annoyance.

"Now, let's take Emma to meet the boss," Jessie said. "Up-up and away," Meowth said as Emma stared up ahead, blinking. The trio followed her gaze and saw a Pidgeot flying toward them. As it got closer, they realized how big it was, and all four of them tried to duck so they won't get attack.

But, the giant Pidgeot swooped down and grabbed the rope binding Emma and James, making them yell as they were lifted up into the air.

"Oh, that's just great," Emma muttered. "Well, do something with it," James said, "Use one of your Pokémon." Emma glared at him, "I don't have my Pokémon because my belt with the Poké balls are in my backpack!"
