A week after the adventure in Greenfield, Emma and her friends were now in a new town, and headed to the Pokémon Center. When they walked in, Ash glanced at Emma, Misty and Brock, "I'm gonna call home and see how Molly and Mom are doing."
"That's great," Emma said. "Yeah, let's see hey," Brock said and they walked to the phone booth. Ash dialed home and soon enough, Delia appeared on the screen, smiling, "Hello?"
"Hey, Mom!" Ash said as they smiled. "Pika-Pika!" the male Pikachu said as he waved. "Ash!" Delia said happily, "Hi, honey."
Molly pulled herself up a little and her face was shown a bit until Delia lifted her up. "There she is," Misty said. "Hey, Molly!" Ash said. "Hi," Molly said with a smile. "Just wanted to call and check in on the two of you," Ash said.
"We're doing just great," Delia said, "Molly has been a big help, and she is bonding with a lot of Pokémon. Right, Molly?" Molly nodded, "Yeah, I get to play with some of your Pokémon here, Ash! And so with Emma's!"
"That's great, I hope they are looking after you," Ash said, and Molly nodded. "It's great to see you doing good there. I'll gonna call again when I'll have the chance."
"When I'm going to travel too?" Molly asked. "When ever you want," Ash said with a small shrug. "Can I come now?" Molly asked. Ash let out a chuckle as Emma, Misty and Brock smiled. "We'll have to ask Ellen if it's okay," Delia told her gently with a smile, "If she'll agree that it's a good idea to do so at that moment, you could join."
Molly nodded, "Okay." Delia looked at the screen, "Okay, honey, we going to go to Professor Oak now. Molly made a promise to your Pokémon that she will give them bath time." Ash chuckled, "Sounds great, I'm sure my Pokémon there are looking forward to it."
"Bye!" Molly said as she waved and then hung up. "Aw, that was sweet," Misty said as they turned and spotted a few little kids looking through a book in excitement.
"It says that I'm a Bulbasaur type, and this Pokémon fortune telling book is almost always right!"
Misty walked closer and smiled down at them, "Hey, what's Pokémon fortune telling?" The little kids looked up at her in surprise. "I thought everybody knew about the Pokémon fortune telling book," one of the little girls said as Emma and the boys walked closer.
"We're new around here," Emma said. The other little girl smiled, "Oh, then it's easy. You look up your birthday and it says what Pokémon type you are."
"It says that I'm a Squirtle type," the third girl said happily. Misty smiled, "That sounds like fun. Can I take a look?" The first little girl pouted, "I'm sorry, but I'm not supposed to give it to anybody."
"If you want to get one, the nice old man and lady sell them over at the brand new daycare center!" the second girl said. "The daycare center?" Misty asked and glanced at her friends. Emma shrugged, "I guess we could check it out then." She looked at Ash and Brock who shrugged.
They found the daycare center and walked inside to see an elderly couple was behind the counter. "Hello," they said. "Hey," Misty said with a smile, "We were told that you give a book that calls Pokémon fortune telling."
"Yes, we do," the woman said, "Hold on, I will show you." She stepped into the back room and after a moment she walked out with a book. She handed it out to Misty, "Here it is. Just look up your birthday and it'll show you what kind of Pokémon type you are and it'll tell you your Pokémon fortune."
"It's really very simple," the man said, "The book might say you're a Nidoqueen type; if you're a Nidoqueen type and you have a Nidoqueen, you'll also have good luck." Emma blinked as she stared at the old man, his voice sounds familiar... where did I hear it before? she thought.
