Emma and her friends were still on their way to Ecruteak City, and at that moment they stopped by a beautiful mountain lake for a lunch break. Brock was cooking while Ash and his Pikachu were washing up their faces while Misty was picking flowers with Molly, Emma, her Pikachu and Togepi with her.

It has been a week since Emma and Ash broke up and decided to remain friends. The only one who immediately supported that decision was Brock.

"How can you be okay with this?!" Misty asked after letting the words Emma said sink in. "Our ship had sunk!"

"Pika-chu," the female Pikachu said with a pout. Emma and Ash exchanged a look while Togepi looked upset. "It's only temporarily, Misty," Brock said, "Think about it. You, Ash and Emma are only 11. Ash and Emma are too young to know what they truly want while figuring things out. When they grow up a little more, they will get back together."

Molly frowned sadly, "So... now, they're not together and only friends?" Ash nodded, "Yeah, we are." Brock chuckled and petted her head, "Don't worry, Molly. Your 'brother' and Emma are made for each other. Just give it some time and they will get back together. For now, just be happy that they are still best friends. Don't you think it's great?"

Molly nodded lightly, "Yeah, I guess..." Misty sighed as she placed her hands on her hips, "Alright. Alright, I accept it. But in the future, I expect a wedding invitation--" Ash and Emma blushed, and Misty smirked, "And I want to be the bridesmaid."

Brock laughed and Molly giggled.

"Oh great, now Misty's back on teasing us," Emma told Ash quietly and they both sighed.

"Let's see."

Emma looked over toward Misty who placed a flower on Molly's hair. "Aww," the redhead girl said, "You look so pretty!"

"I am?" Molly asked and turned to Emma, "What do you think, Emma?"

Emma smiled, "You look great." The female Pikachu picked a flower and held it up to Molly. "Thank you!" the little girl said as she took it. Togepi called out cutely as Emma held out a Poké ball, "Come on out, Spinarak!"

The String Spit Pokémon was released, and Misty froze in fear. "Why did you release it near me?!" the redhead girl asked in fear as she quickly got up.

Emma giggled at Misty's reaction, her laughter ringing sweetly through the air, "It's okay, Misty! Spinarak is friendly! Remember?" she reassured, her eyes sparkling with mischief. The green creature wobbled forward on its tiny legs, its large eyes blinking innocently as it regarded the girls with curiosity.

Misty, however, took a cautious step back, her heart racing. "Friendly or not, it's still a spider!" she exclaimed dramatically, her hands flailing slightly in the air, "You know how I feel about those!"

Molly watched with wide eyes, her excitement undeterred, "Can it climb on my hand?" she asked eagerly, her voice filled with wonder as she extended her small palm toward Spinarak.

Emma frowned slightly but quickly brightened as she nodded, "Sure! Just be gentle." She knelt down beside Molly and carefully guided Spinarak onto the girl's outstretched hand.

The little girl giggled as Spinarak began to wander across her palm, its tiny legs tickling her skin. "Look, Misty! It's not scary at all!" she exclaimed, delight dancing in her eyes.
