The kids were yet again in the ocean, riding on Ash's Lapras. "This is great!" Ash said as he stretched his arms up in the air. "It's a good day to take a dive, what do you think?" Emma asked as she looked at Misty. The redhead girl smiled, "I'll never say no to that."

"I won't be surprise if we'll see a lots of Pokémon swimming by," Tracey said as he looked around through his binoculars. His smile faded away, "Huh?" Emma looked over at him, "What is it, Tracey?"

The kids looked to where he was looking and saw a boat driving in a fast speed toward an Island. "Wonder what's going on?" Ash asked. "Should we go and see?" Misty asked. "Yeah," Emma said, "After the boat, Lapras."

Lapras called out before swimming to the same Island. After a little while, they reached to it. Emma, Misty and Tracey looked at a small news crew standing not very far from them while Ash returned Lapras back into its Poké ball.

A female reporter was talking to the camera that a man was holding, "I just arrived at the Island. Does this location, uninhabited by humans, hold the key to unlock the secret to the extinct Pokémon? An archaeologists team is about to begin their historical exploration, and we'll be with them if and when they will solve the Kabuto mystery."

"And cut," a woman said next to the man. "Nice job," the man said. "Okay, let's go," the reporter said and they started to head off. "Kabuto mystery?" Tracey asked. "Historical exploration?" Misty asked. Emma looked at her friends, "It sounds cool. What do you guys think?"

"Sounds like it could be interesting," Ash said, "Why don't we follow them, and find out?" Emma, Misty and Tracey nodded, "Yeah!" The four kids ran after the crew, and quickly reached to a campsite.

There were people and a few Pokémon around, and the kids looked at the news crew when they stopped at what appeared as the main tent. The reporter stood next to a table where a stone was lying there, "I'm here at the team's base of operation for this fossil hunting, and for a world television exclusive. First look at the object that triggered their investigation. Beneath the layers of silted soil, lays the fossilized remains of the long extinct Pokémon, Kabuto. Caught in a fisherman's net a week ago. Experts working around the clock had determine that it somehow dislodged from its ancient resting place on this Island, and drifted into the international spotlight."

Tracey pulled out his sketch book, "I can't believe they found a real Kabuto fossil," he said in amazement. "I guess there aren't many Kabuto fossils around," Ash muttered. "Yeah, this is like a major find that Pokémon archaeologists from all over gonna want to study," Tracey said.

"Let's see," Emma said as she pulled out her Dexter.

Kabuto, the Shellfish Pokémon. Though this Pokémon is now believed to be extinct, it had a hard shell that protected its body and is believed to have been a powerful swimmer.

Ash frowned, "I wish I would have met this fossil instead of that angry life one back at that canyon," he said. His Pikachu clearly remembered as well when he and Ash got stuck in a cave underground with Team Rocket and met a very pissed up Omanyte, Omastar, Kabuto and Kabutops, "Pika."

The kids turned their attention back to the reporter and listened, "Now let's get up closer and personal perspective on this investigation from the director of the archaeologists team." She looked to the tent and to the kids' surprise, Emma's Uncle, John Grande, stepped out.

"Hey, it's--" Tracey started as Emma, Ash, Misty and the Pikachu smiled. "It's Uncle John!" they said. "Mr. Grande, can we speak to you?" the reporter asked. "Of course," John replied as he walked closer.

"Isn't he your uncle, Emma?" Tracey asked. "You bet he is," Emma said with a grin. "He's her favorite Uncle," Misty said with a soft chuckle. "One of the main reason we came here is to learn everything we can about the habitat of the extinct Pokémon, Kabuto," John explained as Nurse Joy, not dressed in her nurse uniform, but wearing an expedition outfit, walked closer, "We also like to find out if there's any true to the claims about Kabuto oil."
