Chapter 11 - Bye Bye Psyduck

Emma and her friends were still at Kinnow Island, letting their Water Pokémon play in the water and relax. Ash and Tracey were lying on the sand, resting under a tree. Emma was sitting next to Ash, cleaning the GS Ball, and Misty was playing with her two Pokémon.

Ash's Lapras was swimming while playing with the Pikachu and Togepi who was sitting on its head, and Misty's Psyduck was sleeping on Lapras's shell.

"There, all clean," Emma said. Ash opened his eyes as Emma placed the GS Ball into her backpack, and then stood up, stretching her arms up in the air.

"Pika-chu!" Tracey woke up and looked over with Emma, Ash, Misty and the rest of the Pokémon at the Pikachu, who were calling out for them in panic, while Togepi was copying them but happy. "What's wrong?" Emma asked.

"It looks like something's missing there," Tracey said. Misty suddenly gasped in horror, "Where's Psyduck?!" she asked. "Uh, let's look around, okay?" Emma asked and turned to the Water Pokémon, "Everyone, let's look for Psyduck." They nodded, and they all swam off in search for the Duck Pokémon.

The kids were waiting for a bit until all the Water Pokémon appeared. "No sign of Psyduck?" Misty asked sadly, and the Pokémon all shook their heads. Lapras frowned sadly in guilt so Emma petted its head, "It's not your fault, Lapras."

"She's right," Ash said, "Besides it can't be this easy to get rid of Psyduck." Misty looked at him in annoyance, "What?! Ash, we can't just stop looking! We have to find Psyduck!" Emma smiled softly and raised an eyebrow, "Wow Misty, I didn't realized you worried about Psyduck so much."

Misty blinked, "Wh--I'm not worried, it's uh..." she trailed off. Tracey smirked, "It's love." The three kids turned to him, "Love?!" they asked together. Tracey looked at Misty, "I think you hide your feelings. I think Psyduck is your favorite Pokémon."

Misty looked annoyed as she blushed, "No way! And besides, you want to tease about love, tease those two, like I do," she said as she pointed toward Emma and Ash, making them blush, "Huh?!"

"Excuse me?"

Everyone looked out in the ocean and saw a young girl on her boat approaching, "You wouldn't be looking for this, would you?" Her Tentacruel swam closer, holding in one of its tentacles Misty's Psyduck.

The kids looked at it in surprise. "Psyduck!" Misty said before blinking in confusion when she noticed its tail is glowing pink. "Psy..." the Duck Pokémon said. Emma and her friends returned their Pokémon back into their Poké balls as Tentacruel placed Psyduck on the sand, and it quickly went to Misty's side.

Misty kneeled down and hugged it before turning to the girl, "Thanks a lot for finding Psyduck for me, these are my friends, Ash, Emma and Tracey, my name's Misty," she said.

"My name's Marina," the girl said as she got out of the boat and kneeled down to look at Psyduck's tail, "I'm not sure, but from the way its tail's glowing, I say your Psyduck is getting ready to evolve."

"Evolve?" Ash asked as they looked at her in confusion. "A Pokémon trainer told me," Marina said, "She said that sometimes before they evolve, Psyduck's tail starts to glow pink. Just like this is."

Misty looked down at Psyduck with a smile, "So, are you ready to evolve, Psyduck?" she asked. Psyduck lifted its head, "Psy?" it asked. "I guess Psyduck is gonna evolve into a Golduck," Ash said as Emma pulled out her Dexter, "Yep."

Golduck, the Duck Pokémon. The evolved form of Psyduck. Golduck is very adept at using its webbed hands and feet, making it the fastest swimming Pokémon of all.

"Wow, I wouldn't mind having a cool Pokémon like that," Emma said with a smile. "It really sounds like a cool Pokémon," Ash agreed. Emma looked surprised as Misty and Marina jumped on their feet to look at her Dexter, both of them speaking together, "Golduck is one of my favorites Pokémon!"
