At a field full of grass and flowers, a group of four kids; Ash, Emma, Misty and Brock, were taking a short break from their adventures. Brock was making lunch while Misty and Emma were preparing the table. Ash, on the other hand, was resting on the grass with his Pikachu. "You were right, Em," Misty said, "This is the perfect place for a picnic."

"Told you so," Emma said with a chuckle. Togepi was picking up some of the flowers and ran with a smile, "Togy! Togy!" It stopped next to Ash and waved the flowers on his face, which woke him up and he sneezed as he sat up. Togepi waved the flowers, "Togy."

Ash looked down at the Egg Pokémon and smiled slightly, "Thanks for waking me up," he said as he raised an eyebrow. "Togy," Togepi said with a smile. Ash laid back down next to his Pikachu and the Egg Pokémon jumped on his stomach, "Togy! Togepry!" Ash smirked and wiggled his fingers on Togepi's belly, making it laugh cutely. The male Pikachu opened his eyes with a smile, "Pika."

The Pikachu looked to the path when they heard and felt someone was walking toward them. "Pika-Pi," the male Pikachu said and Ash stopped tickling Togepi to look to the path. The kids saw a tough looking man stopping, "Hey, you there! I'm lookin' for a Pokémon trainer named Ash from Pallet Town. You know him?"

Ash frowned, "Yeah, he's me," he said. The man smirked, "Let's have a match." He held a Poké ball, "Unless you're afraid to lose." Ash smirked and placed Togepi on the grass before standing up and running down to the sand as he held out a Poké ball, "Ha! I'm afraid you're gonna lose this one."

Ash threw the Poké ball, "I choose you, Bulbasaur!" he called and the Seed Pokémon was released. The man threw his Poké ball and a new Pokémon that the kids never seen before appeared, "Donphan, go!"

Donphan is a gray, elephant-like Pokémon with a thick, black band of hide running down the length of its back and extending to the tip of its long trunk. A pair of white tusks extend from the corners of its mouth. It has thin, elongated ears held out almost perpendicular to its body. Its four short legs are each encircled with a broken, black band and have three toes.

Emma pulled out her Dexter as she held Togepi into her arms, "What's this?" she muttered.

"Bulbasaur, Tackle!"

"Donphan, Rollout!"

Bulbasaur ran forward and Donphan curled into a ball and rolled with incredible speed, hitting Bulbasaur up into the air, and it made another spin and hit him up again. Ash saw Bulbasaur was gathering light in his bulb from the sun, and he landed on the ground.

"Donphan, Rollout again!" the man called with a smirk and the Pokémon did as told. "Bulbasaur, Solar Beam!" Ash called, and Bulbasaur fired a white beam from his bulb, knocking Donphan out. The man looked annoyed and returned Donphan back to its Poké ball while Ash cheered. He ran closer and petted Bulbasaur, "Nice job Bulbasaur! I knew you can do it."

"Bulbasaur."

"This isn't over!" the man snapped and threw another Poké ball, releasing a Machamp, "Machamp!" Ash looked at Bulbasaur, "You take it easy Bulbasaur," he said as he stood up and threw another Poké ball, "I choose you, Squirtle!" The Tiny Turtle Pokémon was released, ready for battle, "Squirtle!"
