Chapter 42 - Snubbull Snobbery

Emma and her friends were walking down the street of the town of Palm Hills, the four friends admired the mansions around. "Look at all these mansions," Ash said. Brock was looking at a Emma's book, "It says here that Palm Hills is famous for sprawling estates and sweeping lawns."

"I'll say," Ash said and Emma chuckled. "Look at the size of that one over there!" Misty said and ran toward one of the mansion's gates. Emma and the boys followed and looked around. "It's huge!" Emma said.

"Sweeping lawns, huh? I wouldn't even want to mow it," Ash said. "Wouldn't it be fun to play Hide and Seek in a house with that many rooms?" Misty asked with a smile. "Togy!" the Egg Pokémon agreed.

"Hey, do you think maybe they'd let us camp out in their garden?" Brock asked. "Somehow I don't think so, Brock," Misty said. "Yeah, we'd end up ruining some of the flowers if we did that," Emma said.

"Have you searched everywhere?"

The kids looked behind them to see three men speaking with each other. "All the usual places," one of them said. "You keep looking, and I'll keep Madame from getting frantic," another man said. The two others nodded, "Right!"

The three men split up to continue their search, leaving the kids puzzled. "Looking for what?" Ash asked. "I have no idea," Emma said as she shrugged. "Togy," the Egg Pokémon said.

The kids were now in the middle of the town, looking at shops. Ash and Emma were standing together. "Where did Brock and Misty went to?" Ash asked. "I don't know--" Emma said but stopped and looked bored, "Oh, wait. I know at least one."

Ash followed her gaze to see Brock trying to flirt with a pretty girl. "The name's Brock, what's yours?" Before the girl could say anything, Emma grabbed Brock's ear, pulling him away as he groan in pain, "Time to wake up," she said. "Ow, ow, ow," he said as she pulled him to where Ash stood. She let his ear go and he rubbed it, "Why are you and Misty so violent?"

"I wouldn't call that 'violent'," Emma said in amusement. "Pika-chu," the female Pikachu said in amusement. "Togy," Togepi said as it laughed cutely. Misty walked closer with a map, "Hey, look what I found!"

"What is it?" Ash asked. "It's a map that'll show us where all of the stars are," Misty answered. Ash frowned, "I know where the stars are, Misty." Emma and Misty giggled. "No, movie stars," the redhead girl said, "It shows where houses of the movie stars are."

Emma smiled, "Cool! Let me see." She stepped closer as Misty pointed at one spot, "This is the house of that cute guy we both saw in that movie with his Raichu, remember him?" Misty asked. "Yeah, he's cute," Emma said. "Pika-Pika," the female Pikachu agreed. Ash frowned, "Hey."

Emma looked at him and smiled, "Don't worry, to me, you're cuter." Ash looked at the map, "Who wants to waste time looking at houses?" he asked. "Sounds boring to me," Brock said. Misty raised an eyebrow, "Oh really, Brock? Well, lots of your favorite actresses live in those boring houses."

Brock blushed, "Aah! So, what are we waiting for? C'mon!" He turned around and started to walk away. Ash and the girls followed. "Wait up!" Ash said. Suddenly, a Growlithe came charging towards the group and they stopped as the Growlithe was crying in pain. "Hey, a Growlithe!" Ash said, "Something is making that Growlithe awfully upset."

Ash stopped the Growlithe, "You gotta settle down now, Growlithe, otherwise we can't even try to help you. Huh?" He looked over and noticed something flailing around with Growlithe's tail. "Wonder what's wrong," Brock said. "I think something's been chasing it, Brock," Misty said.

"And that something caught it," Emma said as Growlithe shook a pink bulldog-like Pokémon off its tail and ran off. "Ash, look," Emma said and Ash, Misty and Brock looked at the Pokémon. "Wow, is that a Pokémon?" Misty asked. "Wow, it's a Snubbull!" Brock said, "I've never seen one of these before."
