Keep It's Mouth Shut

CHLOE'S P.O.V

I sit on one of the beds that the guys put together for us as we were sleeping so it wouldn't be as hard to undo and redo the chains that were restraining us I sit as Kaitlin sleeps holding and looking at the locket I was given. When I see it it makes me sad knowing what I did to Kaitlin but at the same time, it fills me with some happiness knowing that to Kaitlin the locket is a way of saying that I am more than the one she wants to spend the rest of her life with I am the one that she has given her heart to. That locket is her way of giving me all of her love for now and forever.

"Ummm ahhh" Kaitlin said as she woke up.

"Welcome back you slept well," I said.

"Had no alarm clock so I had no way of waking up before my body said so," Kaitlin said brushing the hair from her face then noticing the chains around her wrists.

"I'm so hungry," I said putting my hand on my stomach.

"Should have eaten the food they gave us yesterday?" Kaitlin said.

"You should have rejected it," I said.

"Ha well you missed out that guy can seriously cook it tasted incredible," Kaitlin said pulling on the chains to see where they were chained to.

Kaitlin then looked at herself as if she was sizing herself up.

"I want a shower or at least a change of clothes," Kaitlin said falling backwards onto the bed.

"Me too," I said after giving myself a quick sniff.

We then heard the doors open and the masked men came down both with a bun and some water.

"Why are you feeding us?" I asked.

"We don't like it when our prisoners die," One of them said setting the food down in front of me.

Kaitlin looked at me with a there right now eat look so I reluctantly took the bun and bit onto it as Kaitlin did the same.

"Why do this here?" Kaitlin said.

"Huh," One of the masked men said.

"Why here why this town why commit crimes here," Kaitlin said.

"It was his old town they..." The other said getting cut off.

"I can tell my own story thank you," The first said.

"Back in my old town, I was a thief that didn't always hide his face and soon those were made to keep quiet about my identity started to put it together that the famed hollow mask thief was me. Soon after that, the whole fucking town lost the ability to keep its mouth shut so I skipped town got here found him and started a new criminal business" He said extending his arm as if to say that his basement is top-notch.

"Did you say, hollow mask thief?" I said hoping that I was miss hearing.

"I did," He said.

"You know something don't you," Kaitlin said.

"I was in the town that was under the boot of hollow mask thief he even tagged my house three times," I said.

"Did I now well if I know you I would say nice to see you?" Said the masked guy.

"What day is it?" Kaitlin said.

"It's Saturday," One of them said.

"Well I'm fired," Kaitlin said I forgot she had a Saturday job.

"Did you sell everything you took from my house?" I ask getting no response.

"You didn't did you and I think I know why," I said.

"Someone wanna fill me in," Kaitlin said.

"The second time he tagged my house he stole a priceless item from my house known as a Glamergé egg," I said glaring at him.

"The hell is a Glamergé egg?" Kaitlin asked looking at us both.

"A Glamergé egg is a jewelled egg," I said.

"How the hell did you get your hands on one of those aren't they worth more than the GNP of most developing countries," Kaitlin said.

"Well aren't you well informed," I said.

"I'm smarter than you, remember," Kaitlin said.

"Whatever if you haven't sold it I'd like it back," I said.

The man looked at his friend they then nodded at each other.

"If you can get out," They said before leaving.

"YOU ASS HOLES" I yelled at them.

I lay down on the bed then five minutes later I see Kaitlin struggling.

"What is it," I asked.

"I need to get something out of my bra," She said.

After another five minutes, a small phone like box fell onto the bed.

"Is that a..." I say but cut off.

"Not a phone," Kaitlin said.

"Then what is it," I said as she fiddled with it.

"I don't know what it's called but I know what it does it is meant to transmit its location," She said.

"To who," She said. 

"A friend of mine that works in the detective agency and his name is Rick," She said turning it on.

A red light flashed on and off then a sound like a beeping sound starts and goes on for a few seconds then stops the light continued flashing.

"We need to hide this until someone comes for us," She said looking around.

She then got up and moved under the bed picked up a sharp rock and cut into the bed then stuffed the device into the bed then got up sat on the bed and said.

"Now we wait," She said looking at me.

RICK'S P.O.V

I push open the doors of the office following my new boss.

"So what do want me to do just ignore it sit back and do nothing," I said.

"There is nothing you can do," My boss said.

"With all due respect sir the files in this folder have enough information to convict him of murder," I said holding up a folder.

My boss takes the folder and goes through it he then closes it and looks at me then back at the folder then not wanting to say yes.

"One day you got 24 hours to bring him in," He said.

"Thank you, sir," I said as I went to the lock-up to grab some gear.

I am about to open the lock up but I get a buzz on my phone I take it out to see that one of the location transmitters has been activated I look at the lock-up then slam my hand on the door and run to my boss. I show him the tracker on my phone.

"Who is that one tracking?" He said.

"A friend of mine now before you say Ishouldn't have you know me I wouldn't have done it if I wasn't sure thatsomething was going to happen the girl I gave it to she never could hide whenshe was scared from me and the look in her eyes told me she wasterrified," I said.
