KAITLIN'S P.O.V

Well that's strange where could she be running off to in such a hurry. I think as Chloe runs off I shrug my shoulders and return to my homework but after having my concentration broken I finally realise what I'm looking at down on my page.

"I'm not cut out for full-on concentration," I say to myself.

I get up and walk to my window and watch the snowfall I put on some music and open a drawer that I haven't opened in a long time I took out a pad and opened it on the last page.

"Huh one left one page one drawing," I say looking at it.

I open up my laptop and find the pitcher of me kissing Chloe's cheek that I took yesterday and begin to draw a copy of it into the pad over and over again I would get something wrong and would have to rub it out and repeat it to get it right. I later get a call n my phone from Sam.

"Hey, Sam what's up?" I said.

"Soooo did she like it, your little locket in a box," Sam said.

"Jesus you must have eyes all over this town to know that I gave it to her already," I said.

"No no don't take this the wrong way but you're just pathetically predictable so add that to knowing you as well as I do it was bound to happen," Said Sam.

"Well you don't hold anything back do you," I said.

"I like to be straightforward when it serves my own goals," Sam said.

"And witch of your goals were you serving just then," I asked.

"Momo is weeding people out to see who will succeed her next year and I'm having fun with it by turning it into a game," Sam said.

"So being straightforward serves you in this how?" I said now completely lost.

"You'll figure it out you always do," Sam said before hanging up.

"What was that supposed to mean," I say.

CHLOE'S P.O.V

I make my way through the shopping centre trying to find a gift for Kaitlin only to find out that I have no idea what she likes I sit on a bench and sigh as I look up at the glistening wight sealing.

"You look down," Said a voice I don't recognise.

"Ya well, it seems that gift buying is a lot harder than it seems when you don't know a bloody thing about the person you're buying a gift for," I say to see a tall boy with tow toned hair red and black standing in front of me leaning in close.

"Ha I know the feeling it's been a while since I've seen my dad and now I need to buy him a gift," The boy said.

"You got a name," I said.

"Harry," The boy said.

"Chloe," I said.

"Well, Chloe do you know anything about this person you're buying a gift for," Harry said.

"I guess she is a gamer and she is a good cook she likes skateboarding and she's my step sister but I guess that is pointless info," I said picking up the locket and looking up.

"Your step sis wouldn't be called Kaitlin would she," He said.

KAITLIN'S P.O.V

I look at the clock and it says it is seven where is she I think to myself as I pull out my phone and call her she takes a while to pick up.

"Hey, where are you it's seven o'clock," I said.

"I met up with... Bec and we lost track of time so I'm staying at her's" Chloe said sounding out of breath.

"Just make sure you are back by tomorrow don't want to be late for Christmas," I said.

"Ya I know," Chloe said.

"Ok love you," I said hoping to hear the same words back.

"Love you too," Chloe said before hanging up.

THE NEXT DAY

I got up and went to the window I took a sniff of myself and took a shower while getting dressed I get a call on my phone from a blocked number.

"Hello," I say expecting a prerecord message trying to sell me something.

"HeLlO, KaItLiN" Said a voice that was clearly distorted.

"Who is this," I said now worried.

"If YoU EvEr WaN'T To SeE YoUr SiStEr YoU WiLl Do EvRyThInG I SaY I WiLl CoNtAcT YoU SoOn," Said the voice then hanging up before I could say anything.

Shit Shit Shit what do I do if I call the cops...he will know and then I may lose Chloe forever oh god fuck this is bad ok first things first I need to come up with a cover story to tell my parents. Ok, when my mum gets back I'll have a story ready for them.

It takes until 11:30 but my mum is finally back home time to put those acting classes to good use.

"Hi mum welcome back," I say with a smile.

"Good to be back dear were's your sister/girlfriend," My mum said.

"She said she wanted to spend some time getting us some gift's but she'll be doing it alone and will only come back when she is done she be staying at my friend's house," I say hoping they buy it.

"It sound's like something she would do," My dad said.

"Ya so she'll be home in time for Christmas," I said If I can save her before then.

I go to school acting like it is all fine until halfway through lunch I get a call on my phone from the same guy.

"So is this the part where you tell me what you want," I say.

"YeS" He said.

"So what is it," I say going to the club room.

"I wAnT yOu To Do A nUmBeR oF tHiNgS fOr Me," He said.

"How many," I asked.

"FoUr" he said.

"So what's the first thing," I said.

"I wAnT yOu To Go To tHe ShErIfF's OfFiCe AnD GeT mE tHe FiLeS tO a CaSe cAlLeD tHe Ex EyE cAsE" He said.

"How the hell do I do that," I said but he had already hung up the phone.

"FUUUUCK" I scream garbing a chair and throwing it across the room.

I start to cry and fall to the floor.

"Chloe I'm so sorry," I said crying.

Just then Sam walked in.

"Hey woha woha what is it what's wrong," He said running to me.

"My sister was taken now I have to get her back But I can't I can't lose the one I love," I said crying.

"What do you have to do," He said.

"Steal some case files from the Sheriff," I said wiping my eyes as I stopped crying looking to the side.

"I'll get you the files," Sam said grabbing my attention.

"How," I say.

"Did you forget the Sheriff is my dad?" Sam said.

"So you can help," I said.

"Sheriff's my dad Chloe's my friend I'll help," He said.
