A Christmas To Remember

KAITLIN'S P.O.V

I got up, looked at the clock, 6 am, perfect, I look to see Chloe still fast asleep she looks so cute I kiss her forehead and then shake her awake she doesn't get up I look around the room and see a water bottle all most empty. I grab the bottle and pour a few drops onto Chloe's face nothing I then pour the rest on her face not getting the bed too wet.

"The hell," Chloe said getting up coughing.

"It's Christmas come on," I said pulling her out of bed.

I dragged Chloe to the guest room where Seth and Layla are staying I open the door and they are already awake as expected.

"Nice PJ's Chole very sexy," Layla said walking to Chloe and bending down to her.

"Sure why are we up so early?" Chole said as she yawned and rubbed her eyes.

"This is how Christmas happens in our house," I said resting my head on her shoulder.

"And what exactly is happening?" Chole said.

"Call it a little Christmas ritual," I said.

"It's done systematically," Layla said inviting us to sit on the bed and we did.

"So how does it work," Chloe said.

"It doesn't," I said.

"Huh," Chloe said.

"Or I should say it doesn't work anymore," I said.

"Why?" Chloe said.

"You, now that you and your dad are here the plans or more rather the system falls apart so that means you can plan out this Christmas," I said.

"Why does everything involve a plan with you," Chloe said.

"Well, what do you want to do?" I asked.

"I just want to take things as they come no plan no nothing," Chole said.

"Well, it's a plan of sorts," Said, Layla.

"Alright then let's do this," I said.

The alarm goes off and Seth immediately hits the snooze button we got to where my mum and dad are sleeping I go to the window and yank open the curtains and they both jerk awake as if the light causes pain.

"Come on you have been laying around in bed long enough time to get up and enjoy Christmas," I said shaking my mum to wack up as the other three inspected Phil's fear of sunlight.

"So I guess this is what it's like to have Christmas with kids that have siblings," Phil said.

"No this is what it likes to have Christmas with my daughter," My mum said.

"Is it fun?" Phil said getting up.

"Welcome to hell," My mum said.

We all make our way into the main room of the house and sit around the tree with all the presents.

"Hold up do you two have anything," I said to Seth and Layla.

"Don't worry we got each other a little something before we left since our visit was out of the blue" Seth said.

"Well then presents?" Chloe said.

"Presents" I confirmed.

"So how do you kids want to do this?" My mum said.

"We go round the circle each of us opens a present one by one," I said.

"Agreed," Layla said.

I go first and I open it to reveal a gold bracelet made of hollow harts and then a golden plate with the words Chloe x Kaitlin engraved into it I kiss Chloe before hugging her smiling at it. Chloe goes next to reveal a drawing of me and her kissing the drawing is very professionally made as with a little colour it could have looked like a photo.

"Where did you get a photo of this" Chloe asked.

"I didn't Sam knows a guy that can draw people doing all sorts of things just from a picture of their face," I said.

"Sam?" Chloe said.

"When you are or were the sheriff's son you start to know everyone to some extent," I said.

Chloe hugged me and then admired the drawing in the frame I had chosen specially for today next up was my mum I had gotten her a dream catcher with our names wove into the rim.

"How did you get the names," My mum said.

"Part of the deal they were doing on that specific dream catcher so I thought why not," I said as my mum kissed my cheek.

I hadn't got anything for Phil since I don't know enough about him Chloe had got him a wither jacket with those patched elbows which oddly suited him. Seth and Layla exchanged their gifts and Layla had gotten Seth an anime model of Sabo from One Piece which stood at a full 30cm high when fully built since it was in pieces instead of one piece (No Pun Intended) to begin with. Seth got Layla a pair of headphones which makes sense she does love her music a few more gifts were given and then it was time for the traditional Christmas breakfast Pancakes. My mum offers to make them so the rests of us and by that I mean Chloe, Seth, Layla and I go off and do our own thing whatever that may be so me and Chloe moved to the bedroom. Chloe took down her calendar and replaced it with the drawing I gave her she then looked at it.

"What is it," I say.

"Just wondering if this is what it really looks like when we kiss," Chloe said.

"Well then," I say pulling a box out from under my bed and pulling out a digital camera.

"Let's find out," I say holding up the camera as Chloe turns around.

"You gonna get your mum to tack the pitcher," Chloe said mocking me.

"It has a timer setting," I said with a sigh.

I set the camera up and set the timer for ten seconds I pull Chloe into view of the camera I press the button and kiss Chloe the camera beeps getting faster and faster as the seconds tick by finally ending on an exceeded final beep before taking the shot. Chloe and I pull away for air we laugh and then I check the photo we compare it to the drawing and they are pretty much the same.

"Satisfied?" I said to Choe hugging her around her neck and chest from behind.

"Enough to stop worrying about it," Chloe said.

"You were worried about what we look like when we are kissing," I said.

"We do it in public and..." Chloe said but I cut her off.

"And no one has said a thing," I said.

"They're just being nice," Chloe said.

"PEOPLE are not that nice," I said.

"Alright so what do you want to do now," Chloe said.

"I can think of a few things," I said.
