KAITLIN'S P.O.V

Chloe and I put on our casual clothes and grab what we need for the performance at the end of year school festival as I grab my script I feel a tap on my shoulder from Chloe.

"What is it?" I ask.

"Now this is a wired question but what is the play called because it has had many names over the months of rehearsals," Chloe said as she held up her script with several titles crossed out.

"Yeah way too many names but life has to have some mystery right," I said.

"Fine but it had better be good" Chloe said and I nodded.

We get to school and as we walk around we see that the school is covered in decorations and some students are selling programmes with timings for different events including our show we stopped by the club room to pick up our costumes then we head to behind stage were the rest of the drama group is waiting.

"Good our stars have finally arrived," Andy said.

"Yep the huntress and princess are reporting for duty," I said putting my hand up to my forehead in salute.

"In that case seeing that you have your costumes go get changed final rehearsals to start in 5," Andy said and we nodded.

We head to the changing rooms and pick out a locker each to store our clothes while we are in costume we leave the changing room and then enter the stage to see Sam and Bec making their way down the centre aisle.

"Why are you two here come to see the final rehearsal?" I said.

"Yo Andy your sound engineer and light expert have arrived" Sam yelled getting a good from Andy who was behind the curtains.

"What are we replacing the drama club?" I said.

"Does it matter we are in our last year of high school?" Sam said.

"Right," I said as Andy appeared.

"Ok, tech geeks stations actors places let us begin" Andy yelled to the group.

Chloe and I get to our places the first scene is of Chloe falling to the floor of the now newly swamp looking stage as if she is being chased and she is to of the other actors dressed in castle guard like armour grabs her and pushes her to the ground. A few scenes later and she is brought before me the princess as a traitor and the guards think I should have her executed but after seeing her face I just can't with subtle facial expressions to let the audience know that the princess has feelings for the Huntress. The scenes continue and Chloe is escaping and I decide to go with her which tacks some convincing but she eventually allows me to follow her deep into the forest where she came from. Later Chloe and I get some time during the interval for a costume change and I decide to talk to Chloe about something that has been wearing on me for a while now.

"Hey so I wanna talk to you," I said as we changed.

"Uh oh I'm nervous," Chloe said with a slite giggle.

"Yeah well I need to ask you something," I said as I finished putting on my costume.

"KAITLIN I NEED YOU OUT HERE" Andy yelled to me.

"NOW" I yelled back.

"YES, NOW WE NEED TO GET THIS REHEARSAL DONE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE THE SLOT I BOOKED IS FAST APPROACHING" Andy yelled.

"Hey don't sweat it we can talk after the rehearsals," Chloe said with a sweet smile.

"Alright," I said giving her a kiss before heading out on stage.

My next scene begins with me now in very similar clothing as Chloe when she first appeared on stage in the first scene I am making my way back to the place where me and Chloe had set up camp in the last scene. Soon we are confronted by a few castle guards and I am focused to return to the castle and am then dragged into a marriage arranged by the king and queen to a man who all you need to do to know that the guy is bad is look at him. The wedding scene comes up and as you can imagine it is stopped and the princess and the Huntress get together.

"Well done everyone we finished in time for our slot soon the audience will be arriving soon so go and get changed if needed and let's set everything up for scene one act one," Andy said.

"Well we can talk after the performance" Chloe said and I sighed.

We all go to the changing room as the set monitors move all the items back into place and replace the backdrop for the first scene I peek through the curtains and see that my mum and dad have come to see us which is weird considering I didn't tell them about this. Either that or they are here by coincidence I hope that's it as the number of people filtering in begins to dwindle Andy gets up on stage and welcomes them all.

"Hello and welcome one and all to our original theatre production of The Huntress's Princess," Andy said getting a cheer from the audience as the lights went down in preparation for the first scene.

The play begins and things are going well so I decided not to let my worries make the rest of the day be miserable I'll have to tell her later today so I just go on as nothing happened and go through the play. The final scene comes up and I walk on stage in the wedding dress and the audience begins to chat about how wonderful the dress is I stop next to Chloe and the words are said and then we turn and share a kiss and the crowd cheers as the lights go down. The lights come up and we bow make spaes for two others to come up and bow we continue until all the people have bowed and then we all hold hands and we all bow as the crowd cheers as the curtains closed and the lights went down.

"Well looks like we have some hidden actresses," Sam said as he came to greet us.

"Thanks but I don't think I will be majoring in it anytime soon so let's just call this my one and only fifteen minutes of fame," I said as we let the audience leave.

"Yes very good very good and that leads me to one last piece of information as members of what I with no same call one of my most famous productions I invite you all to the cast party tonight," Andy said.

"Sure thacks we'll be there," Chloe said.

"Yeah," I said.

Later after getting out of our costumes Chloe and I walk down the hall hand in hand as we look for something to do before the end of day bonfire on the school track. We go through the halls and try out various attractions ending up in the haunted house we walk with Chloe clinging to my arm as we make our way through the haunted house.

"Your not good at this are you?" I said as I smiled at her.

"Good at what suppressing my fear of nearly everything in this place," She said gripping my arm tighter.

We make it through the hunted house with a small number of jumps we get out and then start laughing, later I'm on the roof as the rest of the school are all down on the track as they build the frame for the bonfire.

"Hey what are you doing up here?" Chloe said as she came to talk to me.

"I'm just looking for some alone time," I said.

"You are looking for alone time when you have a girlfriend right here and a bonfire to attend," Chloe said.

"Ok fine I got a letter a day ago saying that I have failed two of my exams so now I have to repeat this year and well that means that I can't go to college with you we'll be separated," I said.

"So," Chloe said.

"So we won't be seeing as much of each other," I said.

Chloe kissed me and then put her hands on my shoulders.

"We live together and we will always live together nothing is going to change that so long as I live," Chloe said as she looked at me.

"You mean it?" I said.

"Yes now stop mopping and come at join me at the bonfire is cold up here," Chloe said before kissing me again.

We leave the roof and go down to the bonfire as the sun sets we sit looking at the fire and I think to myself that my life will never get any better than it does when I am with Chloe living with her forever is more than what I want.
