Mell and Samantha

CHLOE'S P.O.V

I sit in the back of Rick's car next to Kaitlin as he drives us to the beach where Sam said that Sammy would be with Samantha but of course, we left that piece of information out of the conversation when we told Samantha where we were going and why. I rested my head on Kaitlin's shoulder and closed my eyes with a self-pleased smile as she looked at me with a "that sneaky little..." Look, just then I heard Mell flop over from the front seat to look at us making my eyes flash open.

"I want to ask you two some questions about your relationship," Mell said.

"What do you want to know?" I said before Kaitlin could protest.

"I wanna know what your favourite couple activity is?" Mell said as Kaitlin shot a look at Rick.

Rick saw the look Kaitlin was giving him and he put in his earplugs and then put up his phone so she could see him turn the volume up Kaitlin smiled and then returned her eyes to Mell.

"Let's just say we spend a lot of time enjoying ourselves in the bedroom," I said.

"Oh come on there must be tuns of juicy story's there you have to tell me one," Mell said with a glint of excitement in her eyes.

"Sorry, but you will have to earn the privilege to hear that story," Kaitlin said with a smile.

"Fine, my next question is how many arguments have you had?" Mell said.

"Well we have had one big one that was resolved thanks to my dad and we have had a few smaller ones but nothing was a deal-breaker and if you want to know what to tell Samantha which I know was the real reason you asked that question then you need to tell her the truth," Kaitlin said.

"You think that will work," Mell said with a sigh.

"Worked for me," Kaitlin said.

"You mean us," I said.

"Right, worked for us," Kaitlin said correcting herself.

"So you think I should just walk up to her a tell her how I feel?" Mell said.

"What was the kind of argument you had, like what was the reason you two were fighting?" Kaitlin said.

"How will that help?" Mell said.

"Trust me the type of argument you had could change what the right words you need to say are," Kaitlin said.

"Heads up we made it," Rick said as he removed his earplugs.

The car came to a stop and I took a deep breath in preparation for the worst considering I had no idea what was going to happen I had never been in a situation like this when someone's relationship is on the line and all I can do is watch. We get out of the car and Rick stays in the car to wait for us as we leave I look back and see him smocking I guess being a detective requires a distraction from time to time. We make it to the beach and begin the search for Samantha.

"Hey so why did you tell us to put on our swimsuits before we left?" I asked Kaitlin as we walked.

"Come on you're telling me if all goes well you don't some time on the beach with three other sexy ass babes," Kaitlin said.

"Fine, you win," I said.

"Knew you couldn't resist the anticipation of seeing me in a swimsuit" Kaitlin said with a smile.

We walk for another five minutes and then we see Sammy and Samantha playing beach volleyball with two other girls we don't know Samantha is up to serve she performs a wonderful serv that is missed by the other two girls.

"Samantha is good at volleyball," I said leaning to Mells side as we watched.

"She is the captain of her school's volleyball team so she has to have some level of skill," Mell said as she began to walk to Samantha.

Me and Kaitlin walk behind her.

MELL'S P.O.V (3 MONTHS AGO)

I sit in class bored as hell hoping something interesting or anything at this point would happen the others are just chatting but they have nothing worth my ears I sit and look out the window and daydream. My next class is home ec a class that I don't have to bother with making me even more bored I lay back in my seat arms hanging over the back as I find something to occupy my wandering mind.

"Okay you lot we have a new student with us today," Said the teacher grabbing my disinterested and unconcerned attention.

Everyone looked at the girl expecting her to say something or to even introduce herself but nothing the room was silent for a full three minutes until the teacher broke the uncountable tension in the room.

"Yes well, this is Samantha I expect you all to treat her with the respect and kindness as you would yourselves now why don't you sit next toooo ah Mell perhaps you can make her actually pay attention in my classes from now on," Said the teacher looking at me as he did as if to say "Yes I Have Noticed".

"Wich ones that?" Samantha asked.

"It's me," I said raising a hand.

Samantha walks up to me and I nod to the chair next to mine and she sits and that is when I notice a small tattoo hidden by her hair as it falls over her shoulders and the class begins.

"Hey never tie back your hair that tattoo will get you in some major trouble around here," I said out of earshot of the kids around us.

I get no response from her which made me think that she is either very shy or she is going for the antisocial look like it matters to me after class I stretch my legs and arms and then I hear a faint "thanks " as Samantha gets up and leaves.

I go to the lunch hall where I am juped by Jenny and Logan the school's ideal couple as they are the two most popular kids in the school and they drag me to the cool kid's table as they always do without letting me order any food.

"You do know to sit at a table I have to at least have some form of food in front of me," I said as I sat.

"Share with me," Jenny said as she put her tray between us.

"Fine," I said grabbing one-half of the sandwiches.
