Genesis' View

It was early morning, and everyone was sitting outside of the cells eating breakfast.

Beth was feeding Little ass Kicker when Rick walked in.

"Everybody okay?" Rick asked.

"Yeah, we are," Maggie answered.

"What about you?" Hershel asked.

"I cleared out the boiler block."

"How many were there?" Daryl asked.

"I don't know. A dozen, two dozen. I have to get back. Just wanted to check on Carl." He patted Carl's back.

"Rick, we can handle taking out the bodies." Glenn offered. "You don't have to."

"No, I do." He made his way over to Daryl. "Everyone have a gun and a knife?"

"Yeah. We're running low on ammo, though." Daryl explained.

"Gen has Maggie, Kaden, and I making a run this afternoon," Glenn said.

Someone needed to take charge while Rick was grieving.

"We found a phone book with some places we can hit, look for bullets and formula." Glenn continued.

"We cleared out the generator room. Axel's there trying to fix it in case of emergency. We're gonna sweep the lower levels as well." Daryl explained.

I felt Rick's eyes on me, and when I glanced up from the ground, he was staring at me.

I glanced back at the ground, and he walked away.

Hershel went to follow him, while everyone continued to eat.

"I'm gonna go clean up the geeks at the fence. You have to stay on top of that." I put my untouched bowl of food on the table and walked out of the prison.

I walked to the fence and started killing the geeks with my knife that came up to the fence.

It was a couple of hours since I left everyone in the prison. I heard an engine come down the path, and I ran to open the gate.

"You've been out here for a couple of hours. With no breakfast. Why don't you go eat?" Maggie looked at me.

"I'll be fine. Be safe on the run, alright?" I answered.

"Yeah. Sierra went with Oscar, Daryl, and Carl to clean the lower level of the prison." Maggie explained.

"Thanks," I said and opened the gate, and they drove away.

I continued killing the geeks until everyone walked into the courtyard.

Rick walked down to where I was, and I noticed someone hobbling near the geeks. She walked up to the gate, holding a basket full of baby formula.

Carl ran down with a set of keys, and the geeks started to turn toward the woman.

She pulled her Samari sword to protect herself when she passed out on the ground. Rick and Carl helped her get in the gates while I protected them, and I closed the gate.

We rushed back inside the prison, and Rick laid her down.

Rick started whispering to her when she went for her sword. I swiftly kicked it out of her reach, and instead of her grabbing the sword, she grabbed my boot.
