Genesis' View
It had been a tough winter since we lost the farm.
Lori's belly had gotten bigger, the fetus coming probably any day now, and we had no safe place for her to have it.
We pulled up to a house and all the engines shut off.
Rick slammed the door open and shot the two geeks with a silencer that I had found on a small run.
Rick, T-Dog, Daryl, Carl, and I started to sweep the house.
We split up, Rick going with Carl, and the three of us going together.
Only finding those two geeks at the start, Daryl swung open a door, and Rick shined a flashlight at us.
We made our way upstairs, all taking a different room.
Once I finished checking the room, I heard Daryl's crossbow fire, and I stood at the door watching him grab the now dead owl from the window sill.
Poor Bubo.
We met up with T, and we walked back downstairs as the rest of the group had walked inside.
I stood at the windows by the door to keep watch while everyone else was away in the living room.
I heard a can slam into the wall, and then silence.
"Yo, we gotta go!" I peeked into the room. "Geeks are coming."
And then we started to move back to the vehicles.
We've been doing this for so long it was a piece of cake now.

After driving for a little while, we stopped in the middle of the road, surrounded by trees.
Kaden, Sierra, and I hopped out of the truck and walked over towards the group.
I watched as Maggie and T rolled out a map onto the hood of the car, and looked it over.
"We got no place left to go." T pointed out.
"When this herd meets up with this one, we'll be cut off." I dragged my finger along the map.
"We'll never make it south." Maggie continued for me.
"What would you say? That was about one hundred fifty head?" Daryl looked towards me.
"That was last week. It's definitely doubled by now." I configured.
"The river could have delayed them, no?" Kaden pointed to the map.
"If we move fast, we might have a shot to tear right through there." Hershel agreed with Kaden.
"Yeah, but if this group joins with that one, they could spill out this way." T suspected.
"So we're blocked." Maggie sighed.
"Only thing to do is double back at twenty-seven and swing towards Greenville." Rick looked around.
"We picked through that already." I shook my head.
"It's like we spent the winter going in circles," T added.
"Yeah, I know. I know. At Newnan, we'll push west. Haven't been through there yet. We can't keep going house to house. Need to find someplace to hole up for a few weeks." He looked over at Lori.
