Without any other hiccups, I made it through the first week of the year. The classes weren't all that bad in my opinion, but it appeared others were already burnt out. Life mood. Hence the party being thrown in Hufflepuff. You already know I was going.

With no protest Raidon tagged along this time, apparently he 'can't let us go anywhere.' I replied, telling him I've been reckless, but not without cause. An eye roll was the only response I got. Killian came downstairs with a light blue dress shirt, 2 buttons undone, looking to get some action it seemed.

Raidon adjusted his leather jacket as I rolled up the sleeve of my grey shirt, which I paired with some black tights and a denim skirt. We headed out through the portrait door on our way to pick up Mae from the Slytherin Dungeons.

I opted for simply knocking on the door once we got there, but before my knuckles make contact with the wood, it whips open. Met with someone's chest, I look up to see none other than Tom Riddle. What luck I have.

" Tom." I deadpanned.

" Isla." He replies though it's as if he's trying to hide a smirk. My luck getting better by the minute, Mae bounces down the stairs and right over to the door. I look around Toms shoulder as he looks back over it, and suddenly we're caught in an awkward situation as Mae stares back.

As soon as she starts giggling and I see Raidon and Killian raise a suspicious eyebrow, I slide past Tom and snatch up her wrist. Sighing I drag her out of the door and sling her in front of me, with an extra shove for good measure.

As she turns back around and walks backwards tauntingly, I turn to the other two gits and grab Killian and Raidons hands before beginning to drag them after Mae down the corridors.

" Bye Tom." I add as closure.

Walking fast to avoid questions we arrive at the kitchens in no time. The four of us step into the Hufflepuff common room only to be engulfed in a smoke so thick it's hard to see. Coughing we step in, waving our hands around to clear the view, which is a sight to behold.

Shoulders slung around each other, mostly older Hufflepuff students, joints in hand, were singing along to 'Die for you' by The Weekend, a muggle singer.

" Even though we're going through it and it makes you feel alone just know that I would die for you, baby I would die for you, yeah, the distance and the time between us it'll never change my mind cause baby I would die for you, baby I would die for you, yeah..."

I blink twice.

And the scene has been set.

We quickly find Sean and Nagini, weaving our way amongst the high partygoers to an empty couch in the corner. The vibes are nice and chill, we just chat for the most part and snack on the amazing charcuterie board they got courtesy of the house elves.

At one point Layla Badru, a 5th year Slytherin joins us. She moved from Egypt last year with her parents and twin sister, Kalila, a Hufflepuff. The two are polar opposites, I can't imagine family diners each night. She offered us blueberry Cigarillos she had snuck into school, rather popular Cigar like sticks in Europe.

Although the rest of us passed, Mae decided to rebel and try one. Not going to lie, we were all laughing at her mistake as she was coughing after trying it. Kalila then came over, scolding her twin for offering them.

The playlist, I learned last year once I first began attending house parties, is completely mental in Hufflepuff. A real bipolar case. You can go from ' Y.M.C.A' to ' Young and Beautiful' then 'Highway to hell' and 'Don't stop me now'. Lots of good oldies, musical sound tracks, and modern slower paced songs.
