Packing Up

It was fun traveling around and visiting but we all had adulting to attend to and had to separate for a few weeks which was going to be hard. Scott went back to California while I stayed with my parents for another week and Chris was in a few different places for work. He was tying up a few loose ends on multiple projects. Within all of that, he had a few promotional things he was doing and photo shoots for two campaigns. I wasn't sure how he did it because just thinking about it made me exhausted.

There was one more day at the fair so I was planning on spending it there with my grandparents to help them finish and pack up everything. It had been a good two weeks for them at the fair. Chris had been gone for a week and a half now, but we talked everyday.   Usually, we had a 'date' planned for when he thought he'd be getting back to the hotel even though some days he would text throughout the day or sometimes call if he had a break. The nightly date on video was a definite though and he made sure it was never broken.

Henry checked in for the first time in a while and my suspicions had been right about his current project.

HENRY: Hello little dove, how are things?

Y/N: It's so good to hear from you. I'm okay. You?

HENRY: Sorry I haven't checked in sooner. Film schedule is crazy. You sure you're doing okay?

Y/N: I am. Chris and Scott left over a week ago to tend to some work obligations and I'm staying to visit family an extra week. I'm at the fair with my grandparents so I can help them pack up.

HENRY: You're used to having extra people around

Y/N: Yeah.

HENRY: It will get easier. You'll get used to it even though it is still miserable to be apart.

Y/N: Not sure about that. I miss him... 🙁

HENRY: Well, I can try to distract you. Can you keep a secret?

Y/N: For you? Of course.

HENRY: My current situation

Y/N: I KNEW IT!

HENRY: Did it cheer you up?

Y/N: It did

HENRY: I have to go, but wanted to check in and let you know I miss you! I'll call soon and we can chat for hours to catch up!

I was about to text Henry back but I got distracted. Looking up at the sound of my name being said quietly, my eyes met with a pair from the past, yet again. I really didn't mean to seem as rude as I know I did. All I could do was look at him because I was trying to figure out why Nicky was even back in front of me. Since I didn't speak, he did.
