Your arms were around me when the sun set and the candles flickered in the breeze
My head resting against your chest as I breathed the very essence that was you
A kiss as gentle as a petal on the breeze as you pulled me closer still
A whisper escaped your beautiful lips as you searched to capture my own
I am in you and you in me, mutual in divine love...
The words that held my heart for so long made the teardrop fall as we moved together
As the moon lifts her bright face into the heavens our shadows dance a waltz of time
Blue into blue,
Heart beating to the rhythm of it's fellow heart
This will be the last time your arms are around me
We know the truth, we know that it is time to say goodbye to a love so intense
So real and deep within that we cannot see the beginning but can feel the end
I will love you with my last breath
My last memory in my mind when my eyes close will be of you
So with all that I am and all that I will ever be as my hand slips away from yours
As I take the steps back away from where my heart lies resting
I pray that you know that I will always carry yout heart with me
As I lie here drowning in my own sweet tears I shed to let the pain be free
I whisper the truth,
Utter a simple sweet request to never forget me
I wish that I could hold you in my arms one more time but I know the simple truth
I would never let you go if you let me pull you close
So let the memories of us dance in the darkness
How long will this pain last I don't know but it is worth it for the pleasure and joy I found
My heart, my soul, my very being I leave with you.
