To be someone that matters to another
To know that I am valued for my heart mind and soul
To become the place that you call your calm
Overwhelms me and causes me a simple joy
If I asked you why me would you tell me the answer
Of how I become the north star
I am just a girl with insecurities and flaws
Yet you see me as something special which causes me to blush
When you tell me you love me I feel my heart begin to stop
The world around me freezes
To have you here in my world is my own simple pleasure
To have your heart to call my own is something I never dreamed of
Never came looking never searched you out
Yet here I am the star that guides you back from the darkness
I will be forever your friend even if I find myself without your love
For you have awoken my heart and saved my soul
You let blue eyes see the good in the world
Let me see the colour in the rainbow and not the darkness in the sky
You brought this north star back to life
