Blood and glory
A warrior and their victim
From one side in the darkness to the light
They come forth to honour the other
For they are the ones that the lightening and thunder
Come forth and create a stage for
The moonlight welcomes them in their eternal dance
They circle one another eyes never wavering
Every step forward becomes the challenge
The clash of steel and iron becomes so much more than a fight
For they are the ones that for centuries and millenia
Are the David and Goliath
The weak and the strong the dark and the light
An eternal battle with an eternal end and beginning
Bring forth the one who can slay the other and as the blood pours
The tears that soak away the inner torment pour and dry
As the night ends and dawn approaches does the fatal dance begin once more
The warrior and the victim switch their rolls as they must
For in this eternal movement there must be no strength without weakness
Lie still and ask yourself if you are part of this dance
For inside us all is the warrior but also the victim needing help
